Shortly after the news of the President’s death CBS News Correspondent Bernard Eisman went out into the streets of New York and here is his report:
o:20/11:00 Bernard Eisman’s voice sounds just like Sean Hannity!
As the news of President Kennedy’s death spread through the city to those who hadn’t heard it or had heard only the first fragmentary reports, even the street which is normally so loud you can’t hear yourself talking to another person (ridiculous thing to say) acquired a stillness that it’s never known. Where ever there was a radio or a television set people gathered to listen.
Can you tell me what your first reaction was Ma’am when you when you?
It was the worst tragedy ever happened to this country since President Lincoln.
Lady looks and sounds just like
Ruth Gordon in RoseMary’s Baby !!!!
How about you sir?
I just couldn’t I couldn’t believe it. That’s all. Just couldn’t believe it.
And you sir what was your?
…..believe it I didn’t believe it.
do you think would do something like this?
I don’t know I thats I can’t imagine in a way. I can’t imagine.
How about you sir?
I feel very bad, that’s all I can say.
Can you imagine who would do something like this sir?
Well, I don’t think anybody in their right mind. I think this is a terrible thing for our country, not only for our country, but for the entire world. And after all, one doesn’t – one does realize that the we are striving for peace at the present time and a thing like this, well why it’s just an utter
(sounds like he says un-uh) tragedy.
Speaks in a southern accent and he also looks like an actor, though I cannot recall his name.
Weird looking Sean asks the same man before this nutty actor with the bulging eyes. I guess he doesn’t remember who who who he asked previously.
Do you think that this indicates some sort of of a of an illness in America today?
I don’t understand it so much…… (the rest of what he says I cannot understand,
but it sounds like he says Sam)
Thank you very much.
Have you been thinking about what’s happened in the last few hours, sir?
Yes, I have and I’m deeply shocked. I’m ashamed of that this sort of thing can happen in America.
<—- This guy looks familiar, I think he is a British actor.
While this actor on the left above is speaking there is a young man in the background
<—————-who is watching and starts to smile and hides his face
and he looks like a young Pope Benedict/Putin,
then the boy turns and looks different
and the guy next to him takes on his attributes
and seems to pass around a sort of possession in the background.
This is where he turns and the then the weird ghoul travels to the next victim.
Here is the next guy: Could be his brother, Cardinal George Ratzinger.
This is occurring in the background and there is hand waving and other things also.
I won’t waste my time trying to follow this little imp though this street interview,
but thought you the reader might want to check it out yourself.
And how about you sir, have you had any? What are your first reactions to a tragedy of this sort?
My first reaction, sir, is that I hope these Southerners, these radicals,
are satisfied of getting their pound of flesh
in killing a man as good as him.
Are you certain that it is um right wing radicals or or people who oppose the President so desperately
that they would do something like this who who committed this act?
Yes sir. Could be no one else, uh some someone who would do this was must be mentally deranged.
They no no uh clear thinking human person would ever think of doing something like that.
How about you, sir, what, what was your first reaction?
Well, my first reaction was I was terribly shocked. I couldn’t believe of it. It really happened. But uh uh I dis a I disagree with this man about it being a uh the right wing radical. I uh it could have been a communist. I think it was probably something like that.
I know I have seen this guy in the movies also. Bit part actor.
And how about you Ma’am what?
You look as though you have been crying is that how it struck you first?
How how did you hear about it?
Well, I was a radio in my place and they told us.
DIO (Defense Intelligence Organization for Ra?)
Did all of the people in the office cry? Yes
And the office then was let go and sent home? Yes.
What the heck is Amanda Plummer doing in this scene?
And how about you sir what what what reaction do you have? How do you feel after a thing like this has happened?
The tape ends.
Have you ever seen the movie
Millennium starring Kris Kristofferson.
Probably the worst movie I have ever seen. Somewhere through the movie it restarts again so that you have to watch it over again although you don’t realize it till you have watched most of it over again. Strange. Kris is not the best actor, but I like him just not sure exactly why. I know he wrote music but I can’t remember what he wrote. I know he was in another movie with Barbara Streisand. I think I’m helping him out in a way.
Okay, so what is going on?
Could they not find regular people in New York to answer these questions so they had to hire a bunch of actors
oh yea and a couple clergy boys??
On the NBC facsimile of this kind of reporting
called “man street interviews”
reporter Jeff Pond interviewing in part 11 of NBC Coverage from which ever city that they are in
is a man giving his reaction to the news and behind him is another man
tongueing or something.
“Gentleman came into the office in which I was transacting business and um mentioned it to us
and at the time I wasn’t really able to believe it. 1:51/9:56
I had to hear it for myself and unfortunately I did very shortly afterward.”
Man in the background ghoulishly sticks out his tongue 3 times and seems to be “getting off” on the reactions
in a kind of strange way. Is he helping the man answer his question or is he trying to gain attention?
Man in background looks sort of like Ross Douthat …>

We have the first films taken in the motorcade just after the assassination shots were heard.
Dan Rather has that story in Dallas, Texas: 3:34/11:00
Dan Rather narrating
We are now going to run the films which were taken first at the Dallas airport. These are the films of then Vice President Lyndon Johnson and his wife Lady Byrd Johnson at the Dallas International Airport as they arrived this morning from Fort Worth.
Here is the late President John F. Kennedy and Mrs. Kennedy coming down the ramp at the Dallas airport.
JFK salutes or waves.
These films were taken slightly less than an hour and a half before President Kennedy was shot and killed in a motorcade in down town Dallas. The usual receiving line, of course, a number of Dallas dignitaries and
a lady who said that she had waited for 69 years to meet a President.
I wrote about that comment in another post which I hope you will read.
Most of my articles are linked on the right sidebar.
Mrs. Kennedy had been given a bouquet of roses at the Dallas International Airport as a token of affection from the city of Dallas.
Jack Ready Secret Service agent bounding around the area with a smudge on his chin.
President Kennedy had looked particularly hale and hardy on this Texas trip.
We saw him Monday in Florida and a number of the White House Reporters remarked that he was looking more physically fit than he had at anytime over the past year and a half or two years. (hmmmm) This is part of the motorcade from the Dallas airport toward the down town area. Shots taken just before the shooting occurred.
This is Dallas’s Parkland Hospital where President Kennedy was taken after being mortally wounded. The President reportedly was alive when he reached the hospital but he died a short time after arriving at the hospital.
Strange snapshot of a hand with a wedding ring flashes by.
Some efforts were made when the Presidential Party first arrived at the hospital to keep pictures from being taken. The roses that Mrs. Kennedy had carried earlier were on the back seat of the automobile in which the President was shot.
Now these are scenes of a building across the street from the scene where President Kennedy was shot. Police immediately arraigned this building. It is believed that the assassin was in that this same building on either the fourth or fifth floor.
This guy on the left looks familiar!
He looks like Ralph Fiennes of the movie
“Maid in Manhattan.”
Was this portion made after the Manhattan movie to deceive?
Are these actors inserting themselves in a holographic movie of the events involved in the assassination of JFK.
Some empty cartridges have been found in that building. Witnesses said they believe 3 or 4 shots were fired. Four empty cartridges were found in the building which had been arraigned by police.
A number of suspects were picked up immediately. Practically anyone in the area who even gave a hint of looking suspicious was picked up. Considerable confusion in the immediate vicinity. Right there was the spot where the President was shot.
This is part of the Police contingent arriving to surround the building. Police thought they might be able to catch the assassin still in the building. They were unsuccessful in that.
Police were heavily armed.
They arraigned not only the building but about a 3 block area around this building which as I say is located directly across from where the President was shot. This is practically the spot on the street where the President was shot. These pictures were taken just after the President had been taken to a hospital. Police made a systematic search of the building.
They found no weapon.
Up there on the 4th or 5th floor, perhaps out of one of those open windows, is where the assassin of President Kennedy is believed to have fired the fatal shots. (licks)
We have no further information as yet from the hospital along with the condition of Texas Governor John Connally who was riding with President Kennedy and who also was critically wounded. Our last report from Parkland Hospital was that Governor Connally was in the Operating Room; that he was still alive, but was uh in critical condition. (licks)
Walter, you mentioned a short while ago that it was difficult to understand why we have not been appraised of the whereabouts of Lyndon Johnson who will of course uh step up to the Presidency in light of the tragic death today of John Fitzgerald Kennedy. We are in direct contact with Parkland Hospital. We’re also in direct contact with Dallas Police and the FBI. We have a reporter with the Secret Service Agents. And the word from all sources is that Mr. Johnson is his whereabouts are being kept secret for security reasons. Uh if anyone knows where Mr. Johnson is uh it is not us at this moment. (licks)
Inside this film shown by Dan Rather are pictures of a man who looks just like the man at the Trade Mart who gave “a word” and “the Benediction” at the Trade Mart and was introduced as the pastor of the one of the largest Methodist churches in the world -Highland Park Methodist Church of Dallas Texas,
his name is Dr. William Dickenson, Jr.
I took a bunch (10 in all) of still shots of him above.
This same man is directing the Police in Dallas in front of the Book Depository Building in the film shown by Dan Rather.
I think “the word” he gave was A-M-E-N uh, unhyphenated, A FALSE GOD OF EGYPT! A-M-E-N R-A at the meeting at the Trade Mart about an hour after President Kennedy was shot.
I will add a link to a post about him here ASAP!
Read About Judge Sara T. Hughes in the link provided: Judge Sara T. Hughes
I think that article should alarm you!
Thank you, Dan. Thank you, Dan.
As a matter of fact, we just got the word from our reporters out there at the airport, uh bypassing you just as you were on the air at that last moment that Lyndon B. Johnson has been sworn in as the President of the United States. He was sworn in at 1:38 Central Standard Time, that was 2:38 and that’s uh uh almost an hour and a half ago now (left finger to nose) at this time it’s correct here uh. He was, the oath was administered too him by US District Judge Sara T. Hughes. Uh, he took the oath aboard the Presidential plane at Love Field just prior to take off to return to Washington. Uh, the President’s body is to be returned to Washington, also. Ah with, along with the, and Mrs. Kennedy. She will accompany it, uh, and that plane is supposed to arrive back at Andrews Air Force Base we’re told now at 5:25 this afternoon uh, uh Eastern Standard time. That’s about an hour and half from now. Whether that is the same plane in which pres uh now President Johnson is returning, we do not know.
The Presidential Oath as Lyndon Baines Johnson (takes off glasses) the 36th President of the United States took it, (puts glasses back on) reads, I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States and will do the best of my ability to preserve, protect, and defend (takes off glasses again) the Constitution of the United States.
There is a dispute as to which President really is the 36th President, because of second terms, assassinations, and other mishaps.
And now President Johnson is flying back to Washington to actively take over the reins of government.
Six of President Kennedy’s Cabinet who were on the route to Japan have turned around at mid-ocean and are flying back to Washington.
Attorney General Robert Kennedy, the President’s younger brother, who was often mentioned as a possible candidate himself someday for the highest office of the land, is in Washington. So was Senator Ted Kennedy, his youngest brother. Uh he was on the floor of the Senate uh presiding as a matter of fact uh uh uh and the Senate. As the word came he dashed from the Senate and is now on route to Hyannis Port, Massachusetts to be with uh his and the late President’s mother and father, there. We understand that the President’s sister uh Mrs. Sargent Shriver, wife of the Administrator of the Peace Corps, uh is flying was flying away from Washington too. And the first thought was that she perhaps was going to Texas to be uh with her brother before she learned of his death. We do not know where she is now uh destined.
We will now pause for ten seconds so that our stations may identify themselves.(licks)
The assassination of President Kennedy has been reported, of course, in some detail here since the historic shots rang out in the streets of Dallas, Texas at 12:25 noon today. It seems fairly possible that that was just some 3 and half hours ago. The President lived for 35 minutes after being rushed to Parkland Hospital in Dallas.
He died there at one PM Central Standard Time
at noon Dallas time today.
I thought that Dallas Time was Central Standard Time.
Has there been a change in the Time Clock locations
since the JFK Assassination?
The bible talks about
He will change time and laws —–
could that be the change in time?
I found this recording and even though it is not CBS I thought it would help to see from another perspective what was happening at the time and their reference to the time. While doing so I noticed Frank Magee acted strangely in regards to this assassination. In another post I include other pictures of Frank Magee with Barbara Walters and realized that they were not the same person. that post is linked following:
I have digressed quite a bit from the CBS News Coverage which continues further in this post, but I wanted to include what I found for your investigation if interested. I just did not want to pass up or gloss over this information. I think it is important.
NBC NEWS Coverage LIVE
says that President Kennedy was shot at 12:45!
Here is an excerpt of conversation between reporters Chet Huntley, Bill Ryan, and Frank McGee (Magee) of NBC News
who looks related to Eric Severeid and talks like him too about the time of JFK’s assassination:
“But all we know is that at uh roughly 12:45 or so uh the shots were fired…
“Central Standard Time?”
“I think it would have been uh Dallas Time.
“Must have been.”
Yes, it would have been Dallas Time. It has happened within the …”(interrupted)
“(garbled) …20 minutes?”
“Yes, within the past 20 minutes or so.”
Then in the telephone conversation with Robert McNeil reporting from Dallas,
Frank McGee repeats Macneil on the phone and says that Jackie was sitting between JFK and John Connally
when the shots were fired
and she was not hurt…..No mention of Nellie Connally!
But on the Zapruder film, Jackie was sitting next to JFK and behind the Connallys.
So there seems to be a lot of confusion as to when JFK was killed, their seating arrangement, and many other things until time
passed when the news agents were able to get a full picture
and had to deal with that Zapruder film.
Robert MacNeil, or as Frank says that Bob informs him that he was in the motorcade,
Then Frank Magee makes some interesting hand signals:
RUBS RIGHT FOREFINGER DOWN THE SIDE OF HIS NOSE ABOUT 5 OR 6 TIMES
(4:48/10:47-10:56/10-:47 PART 3) …>
As Frank Magee finds out that and confirms that President Kennedy is dead from Robert McNeil via the White House Press Secretary…
Magee DEVOID OF REMORSE rubs his right little finger down the side of his nose from the bridge of his nose to his mouth in a straight line….
IT IS DEFINITELY A SIGNAL!!! (0:29/10:25 Part 5)
I HAVE NO IDEA, BUT HE IS COMMUNICATING SOMETHING VEHEMENTLY!
Again. Frank Magee signals with his hand 6 or 7 times upon hearing the condition of JFK with more details.
“In his book, Windswept House, Martin wrote:
The Enthronement of the Fallen Archangel Lucifer was effected within the Roman Catholic Citadel on June 29, 1963; a fitting date for the historic promise about to be fulfilled. As the principal agents of this Ceremonial well knew, Satanist tradition had long predicted that the Time of the Prince would be ushered in at the moment when a Pope would take the name of the Apostle Paul [Pope Paul VI]. That requirement—the signal that the Availing Time had begun—had been accomplished just eight days before with the election of the latest Peter-in-the-Line.“
(To be honest, I have not read the it all, but it caught my eye in light of all the evidence of deception involved with JFK’s assassination ie. the behavior of the press and it’s clergy and/or the behavior of the clergy and it’s press and Jackie Kennedy)
IMO Frank Magee is fumbling for words to suppress his hostility and fanaticism and nazily
stamps his conclusion to that day and the assassination of President John F. Kennedy!
“……one member of the so-called “Four Horsemen” that included NBC newsmen John Chancellor, Edwin Newman,
“Sander Vanocur interviewing U.S. Senator and Democratic Presidential aspirant Robert F. Kennedy on the evening of June 4, 1968, shortly before Kennedy was shot and killed in a Los Angeles hotel.”
Isn’t that coincidental?
It is not mir coincidence, in my opinion!
Back to CBS News and Walter Cronkite
The 36th President of the United States Lyndon Baines Johnson, 54 year old native of Texas, a former Senator, a former member of Congress, former administrator of the National Youth Administration under President Roosevelt in Texas, has taken the Oath of Office aboard an airplane at Love Field in Dallas and is on route back to Washington.
The President’s body is flying back to Washington also accompanied by Mrs. Kennedy.
The President’s wife was in the open limousine along with Governor Connally of Texas and his wife when the shots were fired from an assassin’s rifle in the apparently the 4th or 5th floor of a building overlooking the motorcade route that was taking the President from Dallas airport to down town Dallas for a speech at noon. (licks)
The President was hit in the head and the neck whether by one bullet, however, or two, has not been clarified. Governor Connally was hit in the chest. Mrs. Kennedy and Mrs. Connally were not hit by the bullets.
A report that a Secret Service man was killed has not been clarified either.
In Dallas, a Dallas Policeman, just a short while ago, was shot and killed while chasing a suspect, a suspected to the assassination in a Dallas theater. The man pulled a gun, shot one policeman, wounded another and but was captured. And when he was captured he yelled, “It’s all over now,” and screaming hysterically was taken into custody by the police. Of course, we have no information whether this man is the assassin, or not. (licks) A vast dragnet has gone out throughout the Dallas area for any possible suspects to uh the criminal act in Dallas, today.
Former Presidents of the United States uh Truman, Hoover, and Eisenhower, as far as we know, have all been informed. At uh Independence, Kansas Mrs. uh Truman said that President Truman was too shaken up to make any comment at the moment. We have not heard from former President Hoover uh who is at the Waldorf Tower Suite in which he lives, but uh has made no comment as yet. (licks) Former President Dwight David Eisenhower also is in uh New York and his statement is this: I share the sense of shock and dismay that all Americans feel at the despicable act that resulted in the death of our nation’s President. Mrs. Eisenhower and I also join with all other citizens in expressing our personal grief and prayerful concern to Mrs. Kennedy and all other members of the family. That statement from former President Eisenhower.
In Boston, Massachussetts the late President’s home (Walter Cronkite adjusts his glasses) Richard Cardinal Cushing, a life long friend of the Kennedy family, made plans to leave immediately for Hyannis Port (licks) uh to be with uh Mr. Joseph P. Kennedy and the President’s mother uh Mrs. Rose Kennedy. (licks)
The Cardinal (Walter Cronkite takes glasses off again and puts them on again [See nazi?]) officiated at the marriage of President Kennedy and Jaqueline Kennedy in 1953. (Walter Cronkite takes his glasses off and lays them on his desk)
It will be a particularly poignant time for the Kennedy family next week. The two Kennedy children uh both have birthdays next week. John 3 November the 25th and (Walter Cronkite puts on his glasses) Caroline 6, on November the 27th.
An entire nation (takes off glasses) has almost come to a stop today uh in the wake of the horrible news. Uh, the Stock Market after getting the first news before it was known that the President had died. Prices began to plummet and the stock, the New York Stock exchange, and all other commodity and stock exchanges across the country, closed. Uh in New York all the theaters were immediately darkened and will not open tonight.(licks) Schools were let out across the country. (Walter Cronkite puts his glasses back on and licks)
We reported to you on the arrest of that individual in Dallas. He is being grilled now. He is said to be 24 years old. The name has been given for him by Dallas Police as Leo H. Oswald. Although, as the Dallas Police themselves say, there is no information as yet that he is the assassin. He was being chased as a possible suspect however when he did pull a gun and he killed a Dallas Policeman at that moment. A tragic day in the city.
We still haven’t heard definitely whether a Secret Service man uh died in the fuselade of shots. That was the rumor but rumors do spread rapidly at a time like this and there’s no proof that that actually took place as yet. (licks)
“Fuselade of shots” was a description in the testimony given by Secret Service Agent Roy Kellerman
when examined by The Warren Commission.
Odd that they used that description before the testimony had been acquired!
It is as if CBS News is a bit ahead of the witnesses, or was that some sort of a threat, or suggestion, or both?
We learn now that definitely Mrs. Lyndon Baines Johnson, the new First Lady (takes off glasses) and Mrs. Jacqueline Kennedy are accompanying President Johnson uh (puts glasses on) back to uh Washington in the Presidential Plane. Uh they left uh they left Dallas just a short while ago. They’re due back in Da in Washington at approximately 5:30, we are told, at which time uh President Johnson will have to take into his hands the reins of the most powerful nation in the world. (licks)
President Johnson as you know is 54 years old native of Texas of a city called Johnson City ,Texas (takes off glasses) which is a little bit west of Austin, Texas where uh Mrs. Johnson has a radio and television interests, our affiliate station there. She has other television and radio stations in Texas.
President Johnson has been interested in politics since he was in Southwest Texas State Teachers College. He studied law. He went to Congress in 1937 after having served as National Youth Administrator in Dallas under President Roosevelt. He was a favorite of President Roosevelts. He was a New Dealer in the early days of the New Deal although his politics had turned somewhat more conservative over the recent years. He had sought the Presidential Nomination that was won by President Kennedy and was probably uh had about as good a chance as any of the runners up when President Kennedy then a Senator from Massachussetts swept the Democratic Convention in Los Angelos in 1960. (licks)
It was a surprise when President Kennedy announced that Lyndon Johnson was his choice for Vice President. And it was thought that he brought him into the ticket primarily to help swing a recalcitrant south including the rather important state with a heavy electoral vote, the state of Texas. It was in Texas today where President Kennedy
after 3 years of that administration met his death. (Walter licks 7:54/10:20)
Isn’t the Met another name for the Metropolitan Museum where the Temple of Dendur is housed that was donated by Egypt to Jackie Kennedy for her help saving a bunch of relics and temples while the Aswan Dam was improved with the help of LBJ, I think?
The temple has to do with some Pharaoh chick named
Hatshepsut or to put it another way
She Puts Hat
The Phat USS?
Play on Words? I don’t know. Sharon Stone?
Quite a resemblance too!
who thought she was related to Amen-Ra in some fashion and what was left over of her was her liver. Recently other Egyptian relics were stolen while Egypt was ousting their leader Mubarak.
The Met might explain the strange street man interviews with actors that probably reside in Manhattan.
Does seem to be related somehow!
“Nearly 4000 years ago, the Hebrew God gave Egypt’s king opportunity to do the right thing by letting His people go. The Almighty used words of admonition, nothing more, through Aaron and Moses. Yet when Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, God’s rod became his lectern, and weather, among other things, helped bring Yahweh’s significant point across.”
Was Hatshepsut that unnamed Pharoah?
Please read these two articles:
Eric Severeid has just moved in. Eric do you have a word or two?
Erik Severeid: Walter, I thought perhaps that we might talk (adjusts glasses and fiddles with his ear lobe for a while) a little about the new President of the United States. I have been trying to put down a few notes about the life and the nature of Lyndon Baines Johnson the man that our thoughts will be upon very soon.
He is 55, Walter, not 54. He was born in August of 1908. (finishes adjusting his glasses) He is really in the prime of life for the responsibilities of the Presidency at a point where a mans experience and his energies meet at a rather high unusual level. He was born in Texas near that Hamlet called Johnson City and the family flag flies there over the LBJ Ranch. He is a lawyer by education, a politician by instinct and by great success.
It is obvious that Walter and Eric don’t see eye to eye.
IMO he is a deceiver that lacks heart and soul. (The opposite of Walter Cronkite.)
He appears to me to be a boss and seems remorseless, emotionless, and definitely slick. I distrust his motives and his behavior. I do not however discount whether LBJ’s intent was to be a good Senator, VP, or President, because I really don’t know.
But I can see through Erik Severeid’s MO. ie manipulation and propping!
I take him for a man that goes with “the power” no matter who or what it is, because it serves his purpose,
however he does provide intelligence and information.
Back to Erik Severeid
He was a very young aide to President Roosevelt during the New Deal days working on Youth projects. (He was probably Roosevelt’s son???) He first went to the House of Representatives in 1937 when he was only 29 years old and he became the protege of Sam Rayburn the great Texan who ran the House as Speaker longer than any man in our history, including Henry Clay. Johnson (takes off glasses and sets them on the desk)) went to the Senate in 1949. He won in Texas by a very silent majority vote of 87 actually, and he became without much doubt the most effective Majority Leader in the history of the Senate. His energy was prodigious. He lived always in a whirl of activity.
He put most Senators in his personal debt by one service or another.
His fame in Washington itself became very great during those Eisenhower years when he led the opposition majority in the Senate. And his power at that time was considerably greater than it was, his real political power than in these years when he had been the Vice President. Johnson has been called by some a liberal by conviction and a intellect, a conservative by geography. His political alliances in Texas were with the more conservative uh Texas Democrats who have managed the state for a good many years. But in most national matters he was always regarded as what we call a progressive including on the issue of Civil Rights, and this again was in the pattern and the image of his protege Sam Rayburn. He is a fairly wealthy man. Uh, the family holdings, some in the name of his wife Lady Byrd, include television stations, as well as, that family ranch.
(So far in this monologue Erik Severeid has not licked! What does it mean? I don’t know. There is more and eventually he does:)
All in small groups, and in large ones, and individuals all over Europe, th the sense of of grief
and, and, and, heartbreak was expressed.
President, uh, Charles de Gaulle said that
“President Kennedy died like a soldier under fire for his duty and in the service of his country.”
De Gaulle went on- “In the name of the French people, ever the friend of the American people,
I salute this great example and this great memory.”
Other European leaders joined in similar tribute.
In this country, President, former President Harry S. Truman who, himself, succeeded to the Presidency on the death of President Roosevelt, and who, himself, was an intended victim of assassins bullets 13 years ago. President Truman was too stricken by the news of President Kennedy’s assassination to comment immediately, but Mrs. Truman said that the former President would issue a statement later. Truman was at his home in Independence when he heard the news of President Kennedy’s death.
Richard Nixon who ran against President Kennedy for the Presidency of the United States said “the assassination of the President is a terrible tragedy for the nation. Mrs. Nixon and I have sent a personal message expressing our deepest sympathy to the members of the family in this hour of sorrow.”
In Washington, the nation’s leaders of both parties express their grief and sorrow.
For that report we go now to Neil Strauser in Washington:
We now have film of the reaction of the Democratic and the Republican leaders of the Senate. Democrat Mike Mansfield and Republican Everitt Dirkson met newsmen together in a show of bi-partisan sorrow at the death of our Chief of State.
Give me a break….bi-partisan sorrow?
We hear first from Senator Dirkson:
“There are some things that are simply incredible and leave one absolutely speechless. This is one of them. I knew John Fitzgerald Kennedy as a Representative, as a Senator, and as a President for 14 years or more and my last visit with him was on Tuesday morning of this week. I went early to present him with a turkey from the Turkey Growers Association. He was so amiable so affable so agreeable and he looked in the very pink of condition notwithstanding a rather rugged tour in the state of Florida. The thing that stuck in my mind most when suddenly he shouted to a lot of school children and to those managing this live turkey – Don’t take the turkey away until the children have had a chance to come up and see it. We visited about many things. politics. bills pending in Congress, the future 19 hundred and sixty four and everything that one can encompass within a half hour visit and suddenly comes this mortal blow that strikes him cold and dead. I say its an incredible thing and uh my heart goes out to the family and that I’m a little frankly I’m a little bewildered by this turn of events as I know the nation and the whole wide world will be. So first my sincere sympathy to the entire Kennedy family and in the language of the Chaplain as we had a prayer in the hope that transfusion might infuse recovery that uh the nation still stands and the nation will live.”
And the Majority Leader of the Senate, Mike Mansfield:
“The passing of John Fitzgerald Kennedy is not only a tragedy for the nation which he so ably represented but is I think also a mark upon the respectability and the responsibility of some of our citizens. This good, this decent, this kindly man, this harassed man who had so much on his shoulders and received from some people so little in the way of support in return this man has now gone to his reward. And I will miss him as a personal friend. The nation will miss him as a great President. And the world will miss him as a great leader. One of the fondest memories I can recall is the cooperation and the support which the distinguished Senator from Illinois Mr. Dirkson the Minority Leader of the Senate gave to the President of the United States, a Democrat, time and time again when the interest of the nation were at stake. And I know how grateful he was to you for the many contributions you made and I’m just as grateful and the nation is too. Words are, words are, useless too express one’s true feelings at a moment like this.”
– “Mike, a person’s perplexity is just too great in a tragic moment like this.”
Dirkson and Mansfield
In this time of tragedy there are no political differences. Senator Barry Goldwater of Arizona, the Republican many thought might be opposing President Kennedy the late President Kennedy in 1964 has issued this statement through his Washington office – It is both shocking and dreadful that a thing like this could happen in a free country. The President’s death is a profound loss to the nation and the free world. He and I were personal friends. It is also a great loss to me. Mrs. Goldwater and I offer our heartfelt sympathy to Mrs. Kennedy and to the President’s family.
As for members of the Presidents family Paul Niven reports from the Attorney General Robert Kennedys home in McCLean that the Attorney General learned of the shooting while he was at lunch with Robert Mar Morganthall, the unsuccessful candidate for Governor last year in New York.
Attorney General Kennedy was told by J. Edgar Hoover of the FBI a priest later visited the house
and another visitor was CIA’s chief John McCone.
Both of them walked in the garden for several minutes.
WAS J. EDGAR HOOVER A PRIEST or did a priest later visit the house?
It makes sense to me that J. Edgar Hoover was a priest!
Mrs. Ethyl Kennedy left home briefly to get the children probably from school. When they returned the Attorney General met them at the door and gathered one of his daughters into his arms. There has been no statement from the Attorney General. Local Police are protecting the home.
Caroline Kennedy who observes her 6th birthday anniversary next Wednesday and her brother John Jr who observes his 3rd on Monday were in the White House today when their father was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. It is believed that their mother, Mrs. Jacqueline Kennedy, was faced with the task of telling them what happened. She, of course, is returning on the plane with the Presidents body. Will be back in Washington later tonight.
The President’s youngest brother, Senator Edward Kennedy, first heard about the shooting on the Senate floor while he was presiding over the Senate. We now have films of Senator Kennedy as he arrived at Andrews Air Force Base and boarded the jet flying to Hyannis Port, Maryland to be with the President’s ailing father, the late President’s ailing father, Joseph Kennedy and Mrs. Rose Kennedy.
And thats the story as we have it at this time in Washington.
This is Neil Strauuser reporting.
As silent and weeping crowds gather outside the White House in Washington summoned by the tragedy the flag at the White House flies at half mast. It was lowered within moments after word of the Presidents death was received. We have reports from all over this country, all over the world, of the shock at what transpired in Dallas, Texas this morning.
New York’s Governor Nelson Rockerfeller a would be opponent of President Kennedy and the election in 1964 has called President Kennedys death a shock and a terrible tragedy. Rockerfeller immediately canceled a political trip which he was to have made to New Hampshire where he is taking part in the Primary Campaign in that state which had been scheduled to begin on Sunday. Governor Rockerfeller has ordered that the flags on all New York State buildings be lowered to half staff for the next 30 days. Rockerfeller has ordered that all public state ceremonies scheduled within the next few days to be cancelled.
More bulletins come in from Dallas, Texan, Texas as they have been all afternoon, uh, talking about the efforts to apprehend the assassin. Police today seized one man, Lee H. Oswald, wh who whom you probably already heard. He is identified as Chairman of a Fair Play for Cuba Committee and is regarded, at least as far as we know, as the prime suspect in the assassination of President Kennedy.
Such as the nature of the American system for the Presidential succession that shortly after President Kennedy’s death was announced Vice President Johnson was Sworn-In in an impromptu ceremony in the Executive Cabin of the Presidential Plane, the very plane that had carried President Kennedy to Dallas this morning.
The new Chief Executive was took the Oath of Office
at 2:39 PM w uh Central Time,
that’s Dallas Time,
thats 3:39 PM Eastern Time
and for the first time in history the Oath
was administered by a woman
US District Judge Sara T Hughes.
Johnson was sworn in on the Air Force Number One, the Presidential Plane, and he then flew on to Washington. He’s now en route airborne to Washington to take up the duties of Chief Executive of the United States duties,
which cannot wait upon sorrow or tragedy.
Mrs. Kennedy and Mrs. Johnson were both present at the swearing-in of President Johnson. So were several Congressmen, White House Staff members who accompanied the Presidential trip. Johnson asked as many of the White House people who were there as possible to crowd into the plane to witness the ceremony. Judge Hughes wept as she administered the traditional Presidential Oath to President Johnson. And then the plane took off immediately for Washington with Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Kennedy, and some White House Aides aboard.
President Kennedy’s body is following on another plane.
Vice President Johnson is a figure who has not been without controversy (and/in?) our system. He, himself, had uh tried for the Presidency in 1960. Accepted the Vice Presidency when it wa the Vice Presidential nomination when it was offered to him by President Kennedy, and has been a loyal aide in the last 3 years to President Kennedy submerging his own ambitions and many uh ways his own personality to help the President carry on the programs to which he was pledged.
Many statements are coming in from all over the world: an eloquent one from France by General De Gaulle who said that in soldierly language that President Kennedy had died like a soldier, uh, by fire in the battle which he waged.
Here is a statement which has just come in from Jay Erwin Miller,
President of the National Council of Churches (licks 1:48/10:51)

The scene is the Parkland Hospital at Dallas Texas. This is Dan Rather of CBS News. The man you are seeing here is the doctor who has been attending Texas Governor John Connally.

I’m Dr. Robert R. Shaw Professor of Thoracic Surgery at Southwestern Medical School. Because of my position I accepted the responsibility of taking care of Governor Connally uh following his injury. I want to say at the outset that the condition of the Governor is quite satisfactory in view of the injury that he has sustained. He seemed to have been struck by just one bullet which entered the right posterior chest close to the shoulder blade and coursed downward along the chest wall taking out and fragmenting a portion of the fifth rib on the right. The bullet then emerged from the chest evidently struck his right wrist fracturing the lower portion of the right radius and then entered the left thigh where it was spent. The thigh wound is trivial. The fracture of the radius should heal without difficulty or without further disability. Our major problem was the sucking wound of the right chest wall because in making the wound of the chest the fragments of the fifth rib became what we refer to as secondary missiles and these caused a considerable amount of tissue damage in the point where the missile emerged from the chest. When the wound had been enlarged in order to remove damaged tissue the lung could be expect inspected. It was found that there was a tear in the middle lobe of the lung, which had to be repaired. There was also a small hole in the lower lobe undoubtedly due to a small rib fragment. This was of no consequence. The major problem was a matter of completely controlling all bleeding points, removing all damaged muscle and tissue, and then securing a tight closure of the chest wall so that the right lung could be re-expanded. The Governor’s condition was good during all of this. He was perfectly lucid before anesthesia was started. And from what we know about his injury and his condition at the present time, we have no reason to believe that he won’t completely recover without significant disability of any sort.
Someone asks or says something to him on stage 6:24/10:51 Large Pause.
-someone asks question How long do you feel that inaudible Connally the Governor will be required to stay in the hospital here in Parkland?
I think this is what the guy asked!
—The length of time he will be in the hospital will be determined more by the clearing of the bruise to the right lung and I would estimate that this would be in the neighborhood of 10 to 14 days. This doesn’t mean that this injury will be completely clear by this time, but at least we should have a good idea as to the trend of the clearing.
-Another question inaudible
Pardon? The, the trend of the clearing, uh, whether it is clearing, or not.
-Another question inaudible
We didn’t mention the President to Governor Connally.
-Another inaudible question
-Long Pause and another inaudible question
—-No. They are now uh taking care of the compound fracture of the right radius. As soon as that is is finished (rubs left eye with left hand) he will be taken to the recovery room where he will be carefully watched until he has regained all of his vital signs. Now, his vital signs are good now, but we like to observe them for a period of time. This is a routine measure until blood pressure is stable, respirations are satisfactory, and until the Governor is, uh, fully recovered from the anesthesia, in other words, he’s fully conscious responding rationally to questions.
-Another inaudible question
—–Uh, this is being taken care of. The bullet is in the leg. It hasn’t been removed. This is a very insignificant factor, though. It will be removed.
-The right leg?
—-Left thigh, but there’s no significant injury to the left thigh.
-When will it be removed?
—-Before he goes to the Recovery Room.
-Another inaudible question
—-I think it would be advisable.
-Another inaudible question
No, this is, uh, really a reconstruction of what must have happened. But assuming, of course, uh, we know that the government, the Governor was in the sitting position.
Puts left arm over his right shoulder of back while saying
We know that the wound of entrance is along side the shoulder blade here. 8:54/10:51
then he puts left arm under the right arm to the right shoulder of back here 8:57/10:51
but the wound of exit was here.
has left hand on right chest sort of under right arm 8:59/10:51
We speculate that his arm were perhaps about in this position 9:03/10:51
and that it fractured his arm here 9:05/10:51
and then went on with him sitting into his left thigh.
This is a matter of trying to reconstruct the trajectory of the bullet.
He was shot from above and he was in the sitting position, so we feel that this is all one bullet that, uh
-someone interrupts inaudible
-another inaudible question
Yes, the lung was collapsed, however don’t stress that point.
The lung could be easily re-expanded. It’s like a balloon. You can let it down and blow it up again.
-another question but he turns back to same guy who asks something inaudible about the lung
The lung is now re-expanded.
-another question about the large quantity of blood
We felt that the Governor had lost approximately 1500 CC’s of blood.
We counted in units 500 CC’s to a unit and this is what has been given back to him.
-another inaudible question
Quart and a half.
-Sir, we missed the early part of your uh diagnosis and your expla….. inaudible.
Someone else says: Let’s wait please sir until the other questions are finished. Any other questions?
-What are the.….inaudible
Dr. Robert R. Shaw
sounds just like Bob Barker from
Let’s Make A Deal.
(Does not surprise me after all of the others from Hollywood that seem to be involved!)
and film cuts to Dan Rather in studio:
This is Dan Rather in Dallas, Texas. What you have been watching is the official briefing from the doctor at Dallas’s Parkland Hospital who has been attending shot Texas Governor John Connally. As you heard Governor Connally is in serious, but not critical condition.
Back now to CBS News glitch quarters in New York.
As they did, as you have heard, for Governor Connally of Texas, the doctors did all they could for President Kennedy. Oxygen, blood transfusions, an operation to ease his breathing, but as you know there was really nothing that they could do for the President. The President’s body, President Kennedy’s body will Lie in State at the White House tomorrow according to the Speaker of the House, John McCormick. All day tomorrow the President’s body will Lie in State. McCormack says he thinks the body will then be taken to the Capitol on Sunday to remain in the Great Rotunda of the Capitol until about noon on Monday. Further plans are indefinite, but its understood that the actual funeral services are going to be held in Boston after the Lying in State in Washington. Traditionally, Presidents who die in Office have Lain in State at the Rotunda. Pentagon officials expect the funeral to be a full-dress-state-ceremony and preparations are now going ahead on that assumption. Officials of the military district of Washington said that the President’s family will determine the timing and the scope of the ceremony which now will be held, or its believed will be held, that they will wish to have held, in Boston rather than Washington. All this planning of course is tentative uh the President Kennedy’s body is still en route by air from Dallas where he was slain by an assassin today. Also aboard the Presidential Plane with the body were Mrs. Kennedy the new President Lyndon B. Johnson and Mrs. Johnson. The plane is due at Andrews Air Force Base at 6:05 PM Eastern Standard Time. A well informed source said that first the President’s body would be taken to Bethesda Naval Hospital tonight and the Lying in State uh would begin tomorrow at the White House and then at the Capitol. President Johnson will go to the White House. As you may have heard former President Eisenhower has issued a statement on the death of President Kennedy. The film has just arrived and here is
-I share the sense of shock and dismay that the entire nation must feel at the despicable act that took the life of the nation’s President.
On the personal side, Mrs. Eisenhower and I share the grief that Mrs. Kennedy must now feel and we send to her our frair prayerful thoughts and sympathetic sentiments at this, in this hour.
Press-General, how would you counsel the American people at this time?
—In the face of such a terrible thing I am sure the uh entire citizenry of the nation will join as one man in expressing that not only their grief but their indi indignation at this act and will stand faithfully behind the government.
Press-General could you tell us
how you got the word?
—I was at a meeting uh, uh, for the United Nations. And uh, while there a member of the meeting was called out and they came back and told us the news. Although, at that time, uh, uh we did not know the President was dead. We did not know when I got back here at that time that he was dead. But, um, as a matter of fact we had a– the last message we had was one rather of hope. And the entire company uh merely paused for a minute that they could (at the?) request of the chairman and each of us in his own way uh said a silent prayer for the President.
Press-Should there be any concern, sir, over National Security at a time like this?
-No, I think the whole nation now would be
uh almost all of us
(Very angry and adamant when he says Security Agents!
Press-Will the nation be alright in the few months ahead?
-Oh, I’m not going to uh predict anything of that, I just say this:
the American nation is a people of great common sense and they are not going to be stampeded or bewildered.
Press-Mr. President…I just
History has uh had assassinations uh affected the political course of events?
A bit hard to understand the question I may have it wrong!
Well, of course, in Lincoln’s uh uh assassination you will the uh (garbled) the Presidency went to a man who was a registered Democrat, uh Mr. Johnson. In Garfield, I doubt that there was any. And, of course, McKinnley that brought in uh uh Theodore Roosevelt.
Of course, there have been other attempts in late years: uh, Mr. Cooman was at a grain/grave? threat toward to his life
and Mr. Roosevelt just before he was inaugurated, you remember, down at the, when the Mayor of Surmac was killed – was uh, ran a very grave, uh, risk. They these things have happened and and and and it seems inexplicable to me, because Americans are loyal. And it’s just this uh occasional psychopathic sort of uh uh accident that occurs and I I don’t know what we can do about it.
Who the heck is he talking about?
If anyone knows please send a note in regards to Mr. Cooman. I have no idea what or who he is talking about:)
Press-Could you say anything General about how people will feel abroad from all your experience with your United Nations and others.
How will it be taken abroad?
—Well, I think they will be, uh, a bit bewildered. This um in a civilized countries of the world, this doesn’t happen, uh, so often. And uh, you remember, in the starting of WWI the um murder of the Arch Duke Ferdinand, I think his name was. Why this in itself almost, uh, well it one of the contributory causes to uh that war. And, uh, but here, I I just don’t know what happens. And it. But we are a nation that where our freedoms are allowed or are observed in such a way that everybody is, uh, ready to, I mean, everybody is, uh, you might say, capable of doing this if he’s ready to put his own life on the line.
That last statement is quite fragmented and it just does not make sense,
but maybe someone else can figure it out because I don’t really understand what he is saying.
Obviously, President Eisenhower is visibly upset and is having a hard time expressing himself.
I have to add that the questions are a bit stupid, IMO and seem to be a mock by the press, whether or not they are aware.
Press-General, how will you spend the rest of today, and tomorrow?
-How will you spend the rest of today and then tomorrow?
—I exp, I have cancelled the dinner date that I had for tonight. Tomorrow, I’m going immediately to my home and if I’m wanted for any purpose, whatsoever, I will, of course, be available.
Press-Do you have any advise for the American people at this time sir?
—No, as I said, I know the American people will stand solid and they will not be, uh, stampeded.
Press-Thank you, Mr. President. Thank you.
Al right. Goodnight
I think “the word” the press is mockingly referring to, is the “benediction” given in Dallas at the Trade Mart after the President was assassinated, establishing some sort of power over the people and our government. I think that is pretty evident by the members of the entourage at the airport and their affiliation with the Benedictine order.
Is the Benedictine Order actually followers of the WYRD? How about Opus Dei? Are they involved? I would guess so. Is this the Saxon influence?
Modern usage in Satanism and Paganism
The extreme Satanic organization Order of Nine Angles makes frequent reference to wyrd in its publicly available writings, which Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke’s 2002 book Black Sun speculates may indicate roots in a pre-Christian native tradition of paganism or Wicca.
No wonder. Makes the massacres in our country lately make sense (IN a Wyrd WAY) and the people involved and their appearance as if high and in a trance.
I believe they The Benedictines made a pledge to make our country heel like dogs partially in revenge for our success in WWll
and the bombing of Monte Cassino their Benedictine monastery by our forces
and I believe Eisenhower was President or the commanding General that was involved with that particular offensive in WWll at that particular time.
Something about that monastery seemed extremely important considering the damage done in WWll to other locations and people.
I wonder what was in that location that they were protecting.
Please read about that in the article below:
“This brings us to Benedict and Rome today. Readers will be well aware of the Vatican’s efforts after World War II to dominate Europe through the Treaty of Rome. This strategy was spearheaded by the “St Benedict for first European” campaign conceived during World War II. Pius XII may have been silent about the holocaust but he certainly made waves when one of Benedict’s early monasteries, Monte Cassino, was bombed by the allies. Churchill, unworried, correctly observed, “the enemy fortifications were hardly separate from the building itself”. But Pius castigated it as an “atrocity bombing”. He and his two successors, John XXIII and Paul VI, all vowed to use Benedict’s European credentials to bring the continent to heel.”
Maybe the secret weapon for
the EU was a drug.
Is that what all the licking is about?
CBS News will continue its live coverage throughout this evening. We’ll be back in 30 seconds after a pause for our stations to identify themselves.
Shows American Flag at half mast.
We continue now our reports on the aftermath of President Kennedy’s assassination in Dallas, Texas. CBS News White House Correspondent Robert Pierpoint was with the Presidential party in Dallas and we switch to Mr. Pierpoint now with Dan Rather at Station KRLD TV in Dallas:
CBS News White House Correspondent Bob Pierpoint has just returned from Parkland Hospital after taking part in the motorcade in which President Kennedy was shot and going immediately to Parkland Hospital; one of the first reporters on the scene. Bob, I know that you have taken copious notes on the whole day so why don’t we begin at the very beginning when the Kennedys arrived in Dallas this morning.
-Well, Dan, uh, I would like to use my notebook to refer to because there’s so many impressions, tragic ideas, and thoughts, going through my mind and, uh, I think I need to refer to this. But I would like to make the point, first of all, that this day has a terrible ironic quality about it, all the way through, as you look back on it: The President’s arrival here in Dallas was uh so warm and and so friendly. Everything seemed to be going so well. He and Mrs. Kennedy had gotten off to a good start in Fort Worth this morning. The President had spoken to a crowd outside his hotel. He was in a very good mood and humor and uh uh as we came into Dallas uh we had of course expected that there might be some protest signs some signs uh against the President but the crowd generally was larger than we had expected and uh friendly and enthusiastic. Everything seemed to be going very well. (licks 9:17/10:14) And we went down the main street of Dallas, I think it’s even called Main Street. Tremendous crowds along the sidewalk cheering and waving flags and shouting (licks 9:27/10:14) and then as we turned the corner to go by a small park right on the edge of town uh we heard three shots. We heard the explosions. We didn’t know what they were.(swipes a huge lick 9:41/10:14) and suddenly the motorcade slowed a little and then the President’s car picked up speed very quickly and disappeared. And, of course, I think all of us at that moment feared something, but we didn’t even dare express it. (licks 9:56/10:14) So I would like now to switch to a description uh that I took notes from on uh Mrs. Connally the Governor of Texas wife who was sitting in the same car with the President and with her husband and with Mrs. Kennedy at the moment that the shots were fired. (licks)
The President’s car was just going under an underpass about to turn onto a freeway and Mrs. Connally says that she was discussing (licks 00:21/10:18) with the President what a warm welcome the Kennedys were receiving, which is one of the terribly ironic things about this this whole tragedy. She says that she had just s said to the President “You can’t say Dallas is not friendly to you today” and she heard a shot fired. (licks 00:40/10:18) And she feels that that first shot was the one that struck the President. Now all the indications we have are that the President never felt a thing. That from that shot which entered his throat (licks0:53/10:18) and probably came out of the other side, the back of his head. From that moment, he was unconscious until he died. Um, Mrs. Connally says that immediately (licks 1:05/10:18) her husband who was sitting just in front of the President on the right side of the car in the jump seat turned and uh(licks 1:14/10:18) as soon as he turned to the President he himself was also hit. Uh, Mrs Kennedy grabbed hold of the President and Mrs. Connally grabbed her husband (licks 1:27/10:18) and she does not, Mrs. Connally, does not recall that the President said anything, nor does anyone else from that moment on. (licks1:36/10:18) Mrs. Connally says that immediately a Secret Service man in the front of the car next to the driver grabbed the telephone and said, “let’s go straight to the hospital” and at that moment, of course, the President’s car sped off and left the motorcade; hit speeds of 50 to 60 miles an hour to the Parkland Memorial Hospital, which was just a few blocks away. (licks 1:57/10:18) Now at the hospital itself uh there were some eyewitness reports to the President’s arrival there. By the time the car reached the hospital the President was lying on the back seat of the car with uh Mrs. Kennedy uh had his head creduled cradled in her lap and uh (swipes a big lick 2:17/10:18) the eyewitnesses say they did not, were not able to see the President’s face, but they did see blood, of course, all over the front of his suit his chest. And he was at that time completely motionless. He was lifted out of the car and placed on a rolling table (licks 2:36/10:18) and uh rolled into the Emergency Ward of the hospital with Mrs. Kennedy walking along beside him. A short while after that, I arrived at the hospital where (licks 2:47/10:18) uh, uh, of course, doctors and nurses and Secret Service agents and Police were all hurrying back and forth. Everyone showing strain, uh a great deal of uh worried whispering outside the room where the President was being operated on. As we’ve heard later 8 to 10 doctors actually worked frantically to to try and save the President, but apparently (licks 3:13/10:18) there was very little hope, uh, from the time he arrived at the hospital.
Uh, about uh, one o’clock rumors began to spread that the President had died. We were not able to confirm this. Uh, two priests did go in (licks 3:29/10:18) and I talked to them as they emerged from the room where the President was and, and uh, they said that they had administered the last rites. I said, “Is he still alive?” And the priest said only his condition is critical. (licks 3:42/10:18) So, at that time, I do not know whether he was dead yet. But uh, there were other indications. For instance, Senator Yarborough of Texas who had been with the party (licks 3:53/10:18) told me that he he felt the situation was extremely serious. And, and then he began to break down. And, I asked him if the President was still alive, and he said, “I just don’t know.”
Malcolm Kilduff licking and announcing the death of President Kennedy
Um, a short while later the Assistant uh Press Secretary Mr. Kildoff came out and said that he had an announcement for us. Uh, we gathered and he told us that at 1 PM the President had died of a gun shot wound. Um, (licks 4:22/10:18) from that moment, of course, officially interest had to turn to Vice President Lyndon Johnson. And uh a short time after that Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, President and Mrs. Johnson hurried out of the Emergency Ward of the hospital (swipes a big lick 4:38/10:18) surrounded by Secret Service man, uh were rushed into a car and off to the airport. About, uh, 15 minutes after that, uh a bronze casket was brought into the Emergency Ward of the hospital (licks 4:53/10:18) and uh while we waited a white ambulance drove up.
I saw the President’s secretary that is the d d dead President President Kennedy’s Secretary Mrs. Evelyn Lincoln standing out there by the white ambulance and, of course, she looked like she was in a state of shock as I think all of us were at that time. (licks 5:13/10:18) Uh, I saw Mrs Kennedy’s Press Secretary Pamela Turner face very drawn and pale as they waited for the casket to be brought out. At, uh, I would estimate about uh 1:40 (licks 5:28/10:18) uh the bronze casket was borne out. Uh, uh it was a a large crowd of officials around it: Secret Service agents. I, I caught sight of General Clifton, the President’s Military Aide (licks 5:40/10:18) carrying one corner of the casket. And I saw Mrs. Kennedy um going walking along beside it. And uh they rushed it out to the airport. It was put on Air Force One, the President’s plane, where the swearing-in ceremonies were held for the Vice President who is now President Johnson. And they departed, the casket, Mrs. Kennedy, and the new President of the United States, for Washington.
This is Robert Pierpoint in Dallas and now back to CBS News in New York.
These are the fragments of history as they begin to be assembled on this day of historic tragedy.
We here at CBS News have been on the air continuously since the first announcement. We will continue to stay on the air.
This is a special announcement by Frank Stanton, President of the Columbia Broadcasting System: (licks 6:34/10:18)
In respect for the feelings of a shocked nation the CBS Television Network and the CBS Radio Network will carry no commercial announcements and no entertainment programs until after the President’s funeral. CBS will continue to bring all the news relating to this tragic event: memorials and special broadcasts and all other news of importance throughout this period. A statement by the President of the Columbia Broadcasting System.
Similarly, in Britain, both the BBC and the Commercial Television Network there have suspended all their broadcasts and are playing funeral music in tribute to the late President Kennedy.
There have been many developments, great and small, all over the country and all over the world. There have been statements with which we can’t keep up by so many people from the heads of nations to small people in every country in the world.
In the United States, the major Stock Exchanges of the nation shut down today minutes after the fatal shooting of the President. Stock prices on the New York Stock Exchange took their worst tumble since the so-called Black Monday in May of 1962. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 21.16 points to 7hundred 11.49 Now, that’s in Black Monday in the May of 1962 it fell 34 points.
The Yale Harvard Football Game has been cancelled. A statement by, a joint statement by, the President of Harvard Mr. Puucy and the President of Yale announced the cancellation of the traditional Yale-Harvard Football Game.
(in background voice says)-Hold that shot.
This is St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City where a Memorial Mass has been said for President Kennedy.
We have many statements from (licks8:51/10:18) all over the nation. Many things have happened. I’ve just announced the cancellation of the Yale Harvard Football Game at Madison Square Garden.
Uh, the cancellation has been announced of a Prize Fight between Allen Thomas and Johnny Pursall because of the, of the, Presidents death.
Roosevelt Raceway in Long Island has cancelled its Harness Racing card.
The border between the United States and Mexico (licks9:19/10:18) was sealed immediately after the assassination of President Kennedy uh by US authorities probably to forestall any possible escape by the uh assassin of the President from Dallas, Texas.
In London, a group of 61 New York bound airline passengers, almost all of them Americans, were about to board their plane when somebody cried that the President was dead. “Who said that?” shouted a middle-aged woman. The passengers reacted with shock, disbelief, as they did in so many other places. (licks 9:53/10:18) Uh, Americans caught in strange parts of the world learning of, of, of the death of the President.
In Rome, in Vatican City, Pope Paul the 6th prayed tonight for the soul of the President. The Pope received the news only a few moments after the President had died. President Kennedy, of course, was received an audience by the Pope in June during a visit he made to, uh, Italy.
United Nations Ambassador Adelai Stevenson paid tribute to the late President.
Here is what he said:
-The tragedy of this day is beyond instant comprehension. All of us who knew him will bear the grief of his death to the day of ours. And all men everywhere who love peace and freedom and justice will bow their heads. At such a moment we can only turn to prayer. Prayer to comfort our grief, to sustain Mrs. Kennedy and his family, to strengthen President Johnson, and to guide us in the time to come.
May God help us.
Back to Charles Collingwood one of Murrow’s clan.
There has been much eloquence in reaction to the death of the President
and much inarticulate grief expressed by simple people throughout the world.
Statements by important people continue to come in to us.
One by Governor George Romney of Michigan which was issued in Omaha, Nebraska where he’s attending the Governor’s Conference. “The President’s assassination is a horrible immeasurable shock and a national tragedy. It is imperative,” said Governor Romney, “that the assassin or assassins and any influence behind them or associated with them be identified. Upon behalf of all Michigan citizens I extend our heartfelt grief and sympathy to the President’s family. Let us unite,” said the Republican Governor of Michigan,” behind our new President and give him loyal support. Our grief should renew our dedication to serve our country. “
White House sources say that President Kennedy’s body will be taken to Bethesda Naval Hospital when it arrives in Washington shortly after 6:00 o’clock tonight Eastern Standard Time. (licks 2:06/10:06) Vice President or the habit is still strong with all of us. (because he called him Vice instead of Pres.?) The new President of the United States, Lyndon Baines Johnson, will go directly to the White House from Andrews Air Force Base in suburban Maryland.
A statement come to us by
President of the National Council of Churches:
“This young man, our President, rests now in the care of his Heavenly Father.
He came to responsibility in a time of difficulty and peril
and he lead the nation with courage and dignity.”
according to the National Council of Churches?
The ecumenical movement? Combining errors upon errors? Opus Dei (very secret organization), Catechumenal Way, 2nd Vatican Council?
JFK leaves warnings about Secret Societies and I’ll bet he meant the above movements
in all like–ly–hood
since they began when he died.
I should repeat to you a statement about the (licks 2:46/10:06) intentions of this broadcasting network made by Frank Stanton President of the Columbia Broadcasting System: In respect for the feelings of a shocked nation (licks 2:59/10:06) the CBS Television Network and the CBS Radio Network will carry no commercial announcements and no entertainment programs until after the President’s funeral. CBS will continue to bring all the news relating to this tragic event: memorials and special broadcasts and all other news of importance throughout this period. (licks 3:20/10:06)
As the first shock reaction to the President’s death begins to be absorbed people are (big lick 3:36/10:06) trying to access not only the influence of this tragic event on the affairs of our nation and the world, but to make an assessment of President Kennedy’s role.
An assessment of President Kennedy’s role as an international figure now from Marvin Kalb in Washington:
– Charles, possibly we might start that assessment by pointing out that the chief adversary of the President, the Russians, Nikita Kruschev, to be quite specific. They’re 8 hours behind us in time and it was quite late in the evening when the news of the President’s assassination reached Moscow. I suppose that millions of Russian families were seated in their living rooms and their dining rooms, watching television when suddenly there was a most unusual thing on Moscow television: a bulletin from Tass, the Soviet News Agency all the way from New York. It said that an attempt had been made on Mr. Kennedy’s life. And Tass said: by persons believed to be among extreme right wing elements. Within the hour, Tass came back with another bulletin that Mr. Kennedy was dead.
No one knows exactly where Premier Nikita Kruschev is at the moment. A few days ago we know that he was in Kiev and he met there with the Danish Prime Minister. (licks 4:53/10:08) We can be reasonably sure that there’s one major topic on his mind just as on the minds of most people at the State Department today, tonight, and probably throughout the weekend: What affect will the President’s death have upon East-West Relations? People at the State Department asked that question today and it’s all too soon to come up with any kind of an answer. It’s hard to gauge really what their reaction is going to be and what the reaction of the Soviet Union is going to be. Officially, undoubtedly from the Kremlin and from Nikita Kruschev, as Prime Minister of the Soviet Union, there will be expressions of regret. Probably from Nikita Kruschev the expressions of sincere regret, because since the Bay of Pigs, at the time of the Bay of Pigs rather, he really did not have, it is believed, a very high regard for John F. Kennedy.(licks 5:43/10:08) But at the time they met in Vienna, he learned to respect the President. He learned to respect the President’s determination to protect the interests of the Western world and the interests of the United States.
Kruschev is brought up in a political system that comes to believe that individuals make policy, not institutions, which is the way the United States believes. Theyre/there/their very quickly after the death of one President another man can assume total responsibility for the foreign policy of the United States. That is now the responsibility of Lyndon Johnson. But in a Soviet context it’s too uncertain, too difficult to try to assess this entire thing. And now, with respect to questions like: Will the Russians begin to take advantage of the situation in the Western world and underdeveloped parts of the world now that there is uncertainty and some confusion and bewilderment here in Washington? I would suspect that the answer is no. (licks 6:36/10:08) Nikita Kruschev understands just as John F. Kennedy understood and Lyndon Johnson must now come to understand that in the United States and the Soviet Union there are two nations which command enormous destructive power and it is in the hands of the man who runs the White House and the man who runs the Kremlin to determine just whether this power is going to be used. And I would really suspect that at a moment like this of uncertainty in East-West relations, as well as, uncertainty in the United States uh the Kremlin will not seek to take advantage. I think that the Kremlin will probably sit tight for quite some time and make very, very certain of just in which direction American Foreign Policy is going to move.
The chief architect, the most experienced man in commanding American Foreign Policy now is the Secretary of State. (big lick 7:26/10:08) He was on board a jet liner an hour after leaving Honolulu for Tokyo for a very important economic conference there with the Japanese when the pilot uh called back and said, “Mr. Secretary, the President has been shot in Dallas.” He ordered the plane turned around immediately to be flown to Washington. That plane is now expected here at about 1:15 tomorrow morning. A few minutes later, Under Secretary of State George Ball called the Secretary and said that the President had been shot. The Secretary said he knew that the plane was already on its way back to Washington. Three or 4 minutes after that the Secretary learned by radio that the President was dead. He will be in at 1:15.
Thats all from here, Charles. Now back to CBS News in New York:
Back to Charles Collingwood
The new President of the United States, Lyndon Johnson, with whom Premier Kruschev will have to reckon from now on, is flying back to Washington at this moment. He will arrive in about 40 minutes, a little after 6:00 Eastern Standard Time.
Already, President Johnson has begun to gather into his hands the reins and responsibilities of government. Immediately after he was sworn in in the Executive Cabin of the Presidential Plane at Dallas’s Love airfield this afternoon, he said, “Okay, let’s get this plane back to Washington,” and they took off.
After (licks 8:54/10:08) they land in the Washington area this evening, President Johnson will go directly to the White House where he will meet with Defense Secretary McNamara and White House National Security Aide McGeorge Bundy, and then confer with bi-partison leaders of the Congress. The other Cabinet members, or at least many of them, 6 of them as you heard, were on their way to the Far East and are now air-born returning will not arrive until later. Secretary of State Rusk is with them and of course the new President Mr. Johnson will confer with them later.
The President’s body, which is also being born back to Washington by airplane (licks 9:34/10:08) will go first to the Bethesda Naval Hospital and then tomorrow it will lie in repose in the East Room of the White House. (licks 9:44/10:08)
A CBS Mobile Unit is standing by now at Hollywood and Vine Streets in Los Angelos.
We switch there now to CBS News Correspondent Charles Coralt:
–Well, uh we were just horrified when we heard that. Uh, we couldn’t believe that he had been shot. I heard, we were working and uh someone came in and told us that uh (again the light voice saying hey) the President had been shot and we didn’t, we just didn’t believe it. And it we didn’t think that anything like that could happen.
Is this your wife? –Yes it is
May I ask you what was your reaction? -I just couldn’t believe it. I had only seen him just moments before alive, and then….
You watched the parade? -Yes, I did. It was horrible. (witness?)
How do you think the city of Dallas feels about it? -I think they think its horrible.
–Everyone I’ve talked to has just, they just cant believe anything like this could happen here.
-Didn’t believe it at first. They came down here to the bank and telling us. And we just didn’t believe it, because we just walked down just a few minutes before it happened.
You were at work at the time? -Yes, I was at work at the time so I I couldn’t believe it.
What was the uh reaction among the people at the bank? -Well, none of us could believe it until we got phone calls from our friends, and relatives, and everything. Hearing it on the radio, and them telling us, and then we came to realize it that it had happened.
We just couldn’t believe it.
Thank you very much.
How what is your reaction to the tragic events that occurred here today? – I just can’t believe it. I still can’t. I just can’t believe it.
Where were you when you heard about it? – I was at work.
Had you seen the parade? -No, we hadn’t gone down.
How did you hear about it? -Uh one of – a department head from another department came in said that President Kennedy was dead, and none of us. We just couldn’t believe it.
-Well, when I heard the news I was so stunned and it’s so shocking and I’m still nervous. We lost a good man.
Walter Cronkite in the CBS Studio
In Havana, the Havana radio is reporting the assassination of the President without comment. The announcers appear to be reading a straight copy from the Press Service Wires. They rep they do report that the prime suspect Lee Oswald was Chairman of the Fair Play For Cuba Committee, but they’re making no comment on that fact.
In Washington, the death of the President seemed as if someone had pulled the keystone out of the firm arch of government. For reaction from the nation’s capitol here is Roger Mudd:
By the way, Roger Mudd sounds just like Neil Stauuser CBS Correspondent in Washington. Check out part 1 of this series to hear his voice and compare their voices with their faces and you might see that there is a mix up of some kind or deception.
IN THE PAST 97 years Washington has been shocked by the assassination of 3 Presidents,
but today in this era of instantaneous communication the news of ’s death struck so suddenly here it felled the city
as if she had been hit in the solar plexis.
They wanted to cause great pain because
the US did win WWll and Naziism/Fascism was exposed!
Since I do believe time is traveled,
I think this was a “first shot”
having to do with the relevance of the Synoptic Gospels
and specifically the preeminence of the Gospel of Matthew
and the deception therein.
The participants involved and noticed at the airport in Dallas are a very good clue to this theory,
the timing of the Vatican ll, and of course, Israel.
degrade men, women, boys and girls
by those that have the foreknowledge to do sow
and the capability to thwart and retard truth
kind of theology for “whatever reason.”
That is my opinion!
On the Senate floor a younger Republican from Kansas whispered blankly: “I feel sick at my stomach.”
The only word Albert Gore of Tennessee could utter was: “Horrible.”
Hubert Humphrey issued a public statement then, but then later told his office staff: “I can’t contain myself. I feel the loss of a part of my own life.”
Aside from President Johnson, probably no elected official inWashington was more deeply affected than the Speaker of the House John McCormack of Massachusetts.
Speaker McCormack the 72year old Democrat from South Boston tonight stands directly behind Lyndon Johnson in succession to the Presidency.
–The tragic deaths of President Kennedy is a great loss not only to our country, but to the entire world. President Kennedy was giving to our country and to the free world visionary, sterling, and courageous leadership so necessary during this trying period of the world’s history. The bullet of the assassin has taken from our midst one of the great Americans of all time.
The world, in addition to our country, the people of our country will mourn not only the passing of this great man, but the dastardly manner in which his death took place. I have lost a dear and personal friend. And I and Mrs. McCormack with the rest of the people of the nation mourn the passing of our great President and our outstanding leader. I know that all Americans join with me and Mrs. McCormack in extending to Mrs. Kennedy and the other loved ones of the family of our late President our deepest sympathy in their bereavement.
While he has left us, he takes his place in history. And I know that if he could speak to us from the great beyond that he would say to you and I all Americans whether we occupy official life or not: Carry on and see that your children and your children’s children live under the same form of government that we have today. So from the sacrifices, the leadership to dedicate its service of President Kennedy. Let us renew our confidence in the future of our country. Let us renew our love of our country. And let us go forth determined to follow the spirit of President Kennedy with faith and with confidence, meeting all challenges and all obstacles that might occur, and to lead us to the leadership his spirit of the spirit of the President Kennedy and the leadership of President Johnson to a world peace.
The first report of the shooting of the President reached the Capitol Hill this afternoon shortly before 2:0o o’clock. The House was not in session, but the Senate was considering routine business. Presiding was the President’s younger brother, Senator Edward Kennedy, one of half a dozen Freshman Democrats who take turns in the presiding officer’s chair. The Call for a Quorum had been issued and the role was being read when Richard Ridell, a Senate employee who serves as Press Liason, spotted the first bulletin in Dallas on the news ticker in the lobby behind the Senate Chamber:
This part is a repeat of the same interview he gave which is found in Part One or two of this transcription with his picture so it should be easy to find and you can check it out for yourself there or on the you tube. I don’t want to waste time retranscribing the same thing. So I will skip past this interview to the next part in this youtube:)
Senator Kennedy then left the Capital immediately, went directly to Andrews Field with his sister Mrs. Sargent Shriver, flew to Hyannis Port, Massachusetts to be with their parents.
On the Senate floor it was 1:55. Majority Leader Mansfield suspended the Quorum Call and recessed the Senate to await the call of the chair. Mansfield and Minority Leader Dirkson then called the White House and stayed in touch with the White House until there was official confirmation that the President had indeed been shot. Mansfield then recalled the Senate and Chaplain Frederick Brown Harris offered a prayer and the Senate adjourned until noon Monday, but not really.
What in the world?
Obviously, this is a synopsis because how would he know. This is an addendum to what was occurring then and obviously re-edited to spin and ridicule IMO
but to be fair he could be leaving a clue, as well, because he has no other choice.
The Senate just stood there bewildered, aghast, and dumbfounded.
Why did he say that I wonder? See this is what I mean about the twists and turns of the powerful elite who know what is going on but not offering the truth to anyone and mocking in an odd sort of way the reaction of normal human beings. I have used the But Not Really quite often in my writings because of the deception I have encountered and am trying to show through this blog and others, to anyone who will care to care. I am still dumbfounded as to the deception because it is soooo HUGE. This man is a reporter who mutates therefore not a normal man. He has the capability with his comrades to cloak and deceive normal average men and women to push their agenda with their coup, to quell the truth by deception for whatever reason, keeping mankind down, and women even more so. You know, I don’t mind if someone mutates as long as they let me know. It is unfair, evil, cruel, and demonic to do otherwise. Obviously, he knows that and doesn’t care. Just because you have the power to do so, doesn’t mean that you should.
Around those news tickers in the lobby stood some of the most powerful Senators in Washington listening as Richard Russell of Georgia read aloud to them each word of Dallas as it was laid down by the teletype. Finally, the bulletin that seemed blacker than all the others started moving. President Kennedy is dead.
Then one after the other, the Senators gulped, lowered there eyes, bumped into each other seemingly in a daze.
See what I mean? That is mockery!
The first expressions of grief came from Republican Leader Dirkson of Illinois:
“There are some things that are simply incredible and leave one absolutely speechless.
This is one of them.”
What interests me is the obvious monumental coverup of this assassination more than anything that has happened in my lifetime and the resulting coverups of the other crimes that are certainly related to this coverup. There are so many things about this assassination that are biblically related besides some of the names of the people involved.
I started researching this assassination when I was writing a post on my blog about the Covenant with Many and it led me to Jackie Kennedy’s marriage to Aristotle Onassis etc. Then to the Zapruder film which clearly shows Jackie Kennedy with a weapon in her right hand emitting smoke and vapors rising right after the fatal head shot of President Kennedy. Smoke doesn’t emit from bullets, but does emit from a gun.
I noticed a few physical differences between Jackie Kennedy early in their marriage and soon before the assassination. The reason I noticed these differences is because it was hard for me to believe that she would kill her husband from what I had seen in early pictures and read about her. She was altered somehow or replaced at some point with a double. Not sure which.
We all assume that time only runs forward. I do not assume that anymore. In the bible and specifically in the Gospel of John Jesus is in the Garden of Gethsamane being confronted by a group of men who asked if he was Jesus of Nazareth.
They fell backwards when he said I AM!
I believe the meaning is in time because they did not believe who he was.
There is a verse in the bible about The Son of Man not having anywhere to lay his head. The controversy over whether Jackie Kennedy held John Kennedy’s head in her lap seems to be a point of contention. A BIG ONE. And I believe the reason for this contention is because of the implications of this prophecy and its fulfillment
in JFK and his assassination.
First of all this is a painting of Jackie with President Kennedy on her lap.
Some people said that President Kennedy fell in Jackie Kennedy’s lap when he was fatally shot, yet the film shows otherwise. The Zapruder film. In fact, shows her with something in her hand that emits a vapor after he is shot in the head. Bullets don’t emit a vapor but a weapon does. With great speed and agility she leapt to the trunk of the limo to pick up what I think were two small objects that rolled like a tube of lipstick would roll (sideways) which made me think the objects were cylindrical that is why they stayed on the trunk of the limo. I think there were two of them that she retrieved from the trunk of the car before the Secret Service Agent reached her. I think they were caps or what is ejected from a weapon upon firing.
She said she went to pick up his brain yet she doesn’t remember doing so.
Everyone else is reacting in normal time yet Jackie or her double in the limo at the time is acute, aware, and quick moving comparatively…..like a machine or robot.
I think when JFK raised his arms right after they pass the Stemmon’s freeway sign is when something went through his body from the back and held him in place and for the purpose so as not to arouse immediate suspicion of the people in the limo such as John Connally to be assassinated by Jackie with relative ease. The sharp aul went through his back pierced his tie but did not go through it and then retracted through the same entry wound and that is why there is not a normal exit wound as would occur if it were a bullet. That is probably why they did a tracheotomy to make an exit wound or the appearance of an exit wound. If you read Kellerman’s testimony there was a discussion with doctors why and where a bullet went if there was no exit wound. Then a bullet miraculously appeared later on a stretcher to cover that mistake in this assassination.
I don’t know why witnesses said he laid in her lap unless the film is a fake to implicate her. Which of course is a real possibility.
I think the witnesses were purposefully placed to add credibility and to cover the hit woman who looks very much like Jackie Kennedy yet is not her. That is why they made an alteration in the route of the parade at the last minute so that only a few witnesses would witness this assassination and the ones that were placed would give false testimony. They were seeded so to speak.
But it is possible some witnesses were there by accident also and or because God wanted them there.
It is possible that power of suggestion may be involved in some of the witnesses observances and actions and even Jackie Kennedy. I am not so sure she knew what she was doing. Why? Because right before she does the deed she looks at something in a altered state (seemingly to me anyway) and then she does the assassination.
I think she may have been controlled by something else or under it’s influence and power.
This is the GREAT DECEPTION that is supposed to occur in the END TIMES.
THIS IS IT!
It has to do with Vatican ll, Israel, Deception of the Mainstream RELIGIONS (Which I believe is all of them.)
IT is worth investigating and taking seriously instead of as mere casual entertainment or tourist attraction.
painting referred to as “Pieta” meaning pity donated to the Vatican
In order for him to be on her lap she would have had to jump back in to her seat on top of the blood that spilled from his head onto the seat and pick up his body to rest upon her lap and she did not do that. Was there blood on the back of her skirt?….I don’t think so. There was blood on the back and front of her legs though and on the lower front part of her skirt..but not her lap!!!!! I think the Zapruder film and the films shown by CBS News of her appearance at the airport with the body of President Kennedy in the coffin provided being transported from the airplane to the Hertz at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland clearly show the blood on her outfit as lower than it would be if his head had laid in her lap. In order for her to have his head in her lap she would have had to sit on the bloody seat and the blood would have transferred to the back of her dress and from what I witnessed of the condition of the car from pictures is a mass of blood on the seat and no imprint of her skirt soaking it up. Here are some still shots from part 2 of this series of Jackie getting off the ramp from Air Force One with the coffin carrying President Kennedy to a vehicle at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. First 3 are the front of her suit and the last two are of her standing and you can view the back of her suit for blood stains:
Why isn’t there blood higher up on her dress? Because she was on the trunk of the car, thats why! She should have blood on her jacket as well. There was a lot of blood. There was also a frayed material which I believe was the puppet used to make a volley of noise such as in fireworks to cause confusion in the car as Kellerman testified about.
And of course if she is the shooter why shouldn’t she have blood on her dress?
Also the direction of the spray of blood from his head implicates her big time.
The spray of blood from the back and neck doesn’t occur. If your neck is shot there happens to be an aorta that would have sprayed a ton of blood
and it didn’t.
I think she may have rested him on her lap in the floor of the car afterwards for appearance sake by the time she reached the hospital.
The pictures show massive amounts of blood on the seat of the car.
Because she did not get back into the seat but huddled in between the seats.
If she had returned to the seat there would be blood on the back of her skirt!!!!!!!
Why does everyone romanticize her having his head in her lap and why is it so very important for people to have to lie about this point?
Because they don’t want you to know that his head was not in her lap.
You have to ask yourself why have they made such a big deal about lying about that particular point since she remembers why she went to the trunk of the car -to retrieve his brain parts, but doesn’t remember going to the trunk of the car which is so ridiculous, its scary.
She doesn’t remember that she did, but she does remember why she did.
The reason is because of the verse in the bible about the Son of Man hath nowhere to lay his head.
Now that they have figured out this verse they want to make his head in her lap.
The people involved and present at the airport in Dallas before the assassination during and after seem to be Men of the cloth, religious leaders and their associates and the Press.
I have heard rumors about John F. Kennedy having all sorts of sordid affairs even supposedly from Jackie Kennedy. I have not seen one proof of evidence of this rumor. I have seen a picture of Marilyn Monroe who isn’t Marilyn Monroe with some men posing with the back and sides of their head who are purported to be John and Robert Kennedy, but I am not convinced one iota. I believe they are fakes and I think that the Hogans Heroes star was one of the men involved in the false photography and probably was murdered because of that involvement. The woman in the picture looks like the actress that starred in the TV series called Dallas. Joan Collins with a blond wig. She does not look like MarilynMonroe …not nearly so pretty and soft. Don’t forget that Marilyn Monroe supposedly committed suicide. Joan Collins was in Dallas the night before the assassination with Richard Nixon at a night club, I have read about anyway.
I believe that the double or altered Jackie Kennedy was involved in affairs because of whatever it was that altered her. I believe that the double of Jackie who later worked for Double Day Publishers which coincidentally happened to be the publisher of the Warren Commission Report was involved in evidence tampering and murder of witnesses that might implicate her and used others under her spell.
I think whatever she was
was evil beyond imagination. Possessed!
Now whether the assassination is just a huge deception and JFK wasn’t really assassinated has occurred to me. I am not convinced he was killed in downtown Dallas. The reason I say that is because of the film at the airport with Billy Graham acting like Secret Service Agent Jack Ready and the other people identified seem to treat JFK as a hologram or something manipulated. However, they do seem to be highly sensitive and protective of Jackie Kennedy. Of course JFK could have been drugged with the drug called Devil’s Breath or similar drug and so might have been Roy Kellerman, and for that matter, Jackie. She and he might have been killed way before their trip to Dallas.
In the bible there is also a statement said by Jesus in the Gospel of John to his brethren who did not believe in him at the time
and wanted him to prove himself and go to the Jewish Feast in Jerusalem :
4For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly.
If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world.
5For neither did his brethren believe in him.
6Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready.
7The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.
8Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast: for my time is not yet full come.
Jack Ready and his body double Billy Graham may seem unbelievable to connect to this assassination,
but I think it may not be so unreasonable to believe. Even Billy Graham says that that is what the Devil counts on is disbelief.
The death of Robert Kennedy and the death of JFK’s son with his pregnant wife and sister in law and the family’s relationship to Billy Graham and Cardinal Cushing and Roman Catholicism. The death of JFK’s other older brother before by a mistake of a robot.
The Second Vatican Council (also known as Vatican II) occurred that same year 1963!
(Seems to be a collision of some kind in time!)
Not to mention the warnings about Secret Societies by JFK.
There isn’t much said about what Kennedy was going to say at the Dallas Trade Mart which he was unable to say because of his death. No one really knows or is revealing, but they have hinted in various strange ways such as Nellie Connallys statement to him immediately before the shots rang out. Jackie’s comments about it-will- never -be -that -way -again -Camelot -type -stuff and being a hunter when needed such as in biblical terms I believe such as Nimrod, etc. His secretary Lincoln and her odd statements about him in prophetic terms. Billy Grahams statement to Golda Meir about not being the man: I am not the man God called me to preach. which if you punctuate in different ways has a few differing meanings and same goes for what Nellie Connally said to JFK before he was shot the first time. And CBS Walter Cronkite also hints about what he was going to say early on in the CBS News coverage of the Assassination of JFK. I wrote and highlighted it in Part one of this transcription of that coverage.
After seeing the identity switches in this post I think when John F. Kennedy was warning us about Secret Societies
he was not excluding The Secret Service and the Press.
Whatever it was that was going to be said at the TradeMart in Dallas I believe was going to implicate certain people and institutions and very BIG ONES who preferred his silence no matter whether he is the Son of Man or not.
The degradation of the Gospel of John by all the other gospels and their related epistles has helped me to see the following:
The odd coincidences, nuances, and names involved in the assassinations of our Presidents in the past that relate to the JFK assassination and the Covenant with Many in the first 3 Synoptic Gospels. A vicious cycle seems to be occurring and I believe it is related to the Covenant with Many spoken of in the Book Of Daniel and in the Synoptic Gospels,
but does not occur in the Gospel of John.
The Synoptic “Q” mishap that Billy Graham utters at the beginning of the funeral for President Nixon. His and many other clergys relationship to the British Royalty and the Pope of Rome , the Vatican and all the other religions Hinduism and the like reuniting with her now and globbing on so to speak
because of fear, I believe. Dan Rather’s comments about Well wishers.
Roman Catholicisms and other religions as well perpetuating lies and deception about God,
veiling their evil with their PUBLIC works but some of their work is pretty bad stuff
in order to rule, deceive, profit and ABUSE!
Another odd point that seems to be a point of contention by differing factions of the press and clergy is the time of JFK’s death. Was it at noon or one o’clock. In the bible prophecy says that he will change times and laws. The strange back and forth in the press of whether Dallas time is Standard Mountain Time or Central Time seems to be intertwined in this event. I have no idea if we have had a change but I don’t think anyone is going to reveal that change because of the implication of whether JFK died at noon and its relation to the Gospel of John and the woman at the well. He meets a woman at the well in Samaria
When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,
2(Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)
3He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.
4And he must needs go through Samaria.
5Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
6Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well:
and it was about the sixth hour.
I have read that the Sixth hour is noon.
23But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
25The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
Jackie and the Kennedy’s called John Kennedy by the name of Jack.
Jack comes from the name of Jacob.
The funeral and the crowd of people in lines that formed an M could well be a a W if you look at it from a different perspective. The Preeminence of the Gospel of Matthew promoted by Bishop Butler who was heavily involved in the Vatican ll and his appearance at the airport in Dallas the day of the assassination. The burial of JFK at St. Matthews. The riderless horse. The Warren Commission and Rick Warren’s relationship. The alteration of the bible at Dallas Theological Seminary in the last 30 years. The flood of evangelical teachers and tele-evangelism, speaking in tongues, making a spectacle of everything. The incessant drive to prop Mary up as Queen of Heaven and intercessor, etc. The trickling of information about the JFK’s assassination by her own daughter and our government.
Whether or not JFK died at noon, before noon or at one o’clock seems to be a point of contention in the JFK assassination at least between factions of the press even within the same network such as Walter Cronkite, Eddie Barker and Dan Rather
but mostly centered around what Dallas time is.
I think the reason for that is the implication of the timing of his death relating to these verses above.
The film of JFK at the airport in Dallas talks about a woman who waited 69 years to shake the hands of a president. That also seems to be related in a biblical way as the person in the bible who meets the Messiah at the temple who had waited to set their eyes upon the Messiah before they died. Only difference here is the number 69 which seems to be a mock of that event in the bible.
Then there is the Federal Judge that swore in LBJ to office on the plane is called Judge Sarah T Hughes,
who also was involved in the case called
Roe Vs. Wade
and if you are not familiar that case it has to do with the legalization of abortion.
The assassination of JFK was definitely a Turning Point for our country and I think this event
deserves careful attention and reflection.
The 2nd Vatican Council occurring that same year
and the beginning of the Neocatechumenal Way!
Not to mention Evangelical crud dished out on Television and Radio
from Benny Hinn to Billy Graham!
By the way if you get over the assumption that time only goes forward it will help you to perceive the
spiritual war taking place in time and space for the truth.
Time can stop and it can go backward as well as forward
like ripples and currents in bodies of water that are under and on top and in between.
What we attempt to learn now might well affect the past and the future and hopefully for the better.
But I will not stop until I do know the truth (even though I am tempted often to do just that and worse)
Because it is important!
What is occurring in the news around the world today should worry any reasonable person.
The control of people we love by something should worry any reasonable person.
In one or two of my posts I wrote about the Son of Man in a Synoptic gospel asking Peter “Whom do men say the Son of man am?” and in another part of the Synoptic gospels Jesus asks Peter,”Whom do ye say that I am?” Any way this article is about that subject. I hope you read it because it should shed light on the silliness and confusion that engulfs the Synoptic Gospels.
President Johnson’s few emotional words, his brief speech at the airport upon his arrival here in Washington, his first words spoken to the nation as President of the United States have recalled to many people here at the White House the first words of President John F. Kennedy, his Inaugural Address. Two passages particularly seem to echo in the White House. You’ll remember that the President said, “Let the word go forth from this time an place to friend and foe alike that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this nation has always been committed and to which we are committed today at home and around the world. Let every nation know,” said President Kennedy, ” whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.”
And you will recall that he closed with these ringing words, “In the long history of the world only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility, I welcome it. I do not believe that any of us would exchange places with any other people or any other generation: the energy, the faith, the devotion, which we bring to this endeavor will light our country and all who serve us, and the glow from that fire can truly light the world. And so my fellow Americans,” said Kennedy, “Ask not what your country can do for you ask what you can do for your country.”
And now we have President Kansatease answer to that question.
?????Slip of the Tongue?????
No joke he actually said Kennedys like Kansatease. I can’t help but think of the Wizard of Oz.
Is that what he meant?
Is that mocking President Kennedy by the Press,
or the spirit of the Press?
This is George Herman at the White House. Now back to Walter Cronkite:
Walter Cronkite at CBS Studios
A man who hoped to win his parties nomination to oppose President Kennedy in next November’s election:
New York’s Governor Nelson Rockerfeller received word of the President’s death in New York.
This is a shocking and terrible tragedy for the nation and the world.
Mrs. Rockerfeller and I join with all New Yorker’s and every American (LICKS)
in extending heartfelt sympathy to Mrs. Kennedy and the President’s family.
May God grant strength and guidance to Lyndon Johnson
as he assumes his grave responsibilities under these tragic circumstances.
The prayers of all of us will be with him.
I have proclaimed for the state of New York a 30-day period of mourning
and I have directed that all state offices shall be closed on the day of the President’s funeral.
Kalb was the last newsman recruited by Edward R. Murrow to join CBS News, becoming part of the later generation of the “Murrow’s Boys.”–Walter, the diplomatic colony here in Washington was as shocked as any other group of people wh here in the nations capitol when they heard about the President’s assassination. Perhaps it was best expressed today to WTOP-TV by French Ambassador Hervé Alphand:
–The tragic death of President Kennedy has deeply moved the French people
since ever and forever the friend of the American people.
President Kennedy has displayed a great fondness for my country,
especially during his trip in Paris in 1961.
And I must add that he was also my personal friend (licks)
who had always shown to me profound affection and understanding.
And our General De Gaulle said, “He died like a soldier. We shall not forget his example, nor his memory.”
This relationship between White House and The State Department is now expected to change.
Yes, because President Kennedy was assassinated.
Now the diplomats are under the care of Mrs. Kennedy or rather
the agile hit woman
with the red roses and a lamb-chop puppet
and who knows what else betwixt her fingers and in her arms (weaponry, that is.) in the limo!
Go to part 62 about the funeral she arranged
and see her courageous all male following,
except for the Queen of Greece,
her new “privileged female”
and her next stepping stone.
Which reminds me of Josephus and his use for women:)
Reminds me of:
Then took they up stones to cast at him:
but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them,
and so passed by.
Walter Cronkite is listening to a headset
The news, of course, brought this nation of ours almost to a standstill.
The Stock Market closed shortly after the news after uh stocks had dropped precipitously
with the greatest drop since Black Monday of the Stock Market Crash.
Throughout the country theaters closed.
And in Times Square the heart of the amusement industry in the United States that great street of Broadway is almost dark tonight.
Bernard Eisman is there. Come in Bernard (0:43/9:05 tongue):
Broadway is not the Great White Way tonight. All of the lights on the spectacular advertising displays have been dimmed. Put out.The movie houses with the flickering, twickering banks of neon they too have doused their lights and closed their box offices. In the streets off Broadway, the scores of legitimate theaters and plays on the boards, those that are successful and those are not. They too are closed. Even the little frankfurter stands here and there are closing down. As evening came, Broadway paid it’s tribute to the President. It went dark. Something it hasn’t done in the memory of very many people. Even the crowds and the traffic on Broadway are unusually light. The automobile traffic is not a tenth of what it would be on any ordinary weekend night. And the crowds walking the streets they too are very light. Usually here, it’s elbow to elbow and knee to knee as people fight to get to one amusement palace to another. Not so tonight. Now, they carry little radios and listen for more news of the Presidents death, or they read newspapers as glaring headlines brings home the reality of a tragedy.
This is Bernard Eisman on a very dark and dim Broadway.
What psycho babble! Talk about rubbing it in.
What is the GREAT WHITE WAY, Sean?
Is he speaking of
THE ROMAN CATHOLIC POTPOURRI?
IS HE PROUD OF THAT WAY?
He sounds just like another newsman in our day
who seems to be not who he seems to be,
and presenting a new word
I hate these kind of reports!
I’m speaking of Sean Hannity. HIS VOICE BUT NOT HIS FACE!
Back to Walter Cronkite YEA
No corner of America had any corner on grief tonight.
Across this great land the shockwave of President Kennedy’s assassination left a nation of stunned citizens.
Obvious EDIT and probably an OMISSION!!!
CBS News Correspondent Dan Shore reports some reaction from Bonn
and that it’s the German Chancellor Eirehart shocked,
has said that he and former German Chancellor Conrad Adenauer will fly to
Washington to attend the funeral services of the late President Kennedy.
Let’s go now back to Washington to the White House and to George Herman:
The White House of the United States is empty. President Lyndon Johnson is working in the office he occupied across the street, the Executive Office Building, the office of the Vice President of the United States. Ms. Kennedy is not coming back to the White House at all. Her children left the White House at 5:30 this afternoon presumably to join Mrs. Kennedy who is going into seclusion. President Johnson has talked to former President Truman and to former President Eisenhower, both of whom have apparently indicated that they will be here for the viewing of the President’s body tomorrow.
President Hoover apparently is not going to be able to make it. (licks mouth 3:20/9:05)
President Johnson met with McGeorge Bundy the President Kennedy’s Aide on National Security matters with Secretary of Defense McNamara (licks mouth 3:29/9:05) and with Undersecretary of State George Ball for his first briefing as President of the United States. ???????
As I say he’s working now in his Executive Office Building office. Oh really?
The President also met with the Legislative leaders of both houses of congress and both parties. He asked for their united support in this tragedy which has befallen the country. He said it’s more essential than ever that this country be united and he asked them to help with the help of God for them all. This is George Herman at the White House. Back now to Walter Cronkite:
Mr. Kennedy’s parents, Joseph and Rose Kennedy, are in seclusion tonight at their Hyannis Port Massachusetts home. They learned of the news of the assassination of their son from a workman at the house who heard it over the radio house and they immediately went into that seclusion. Attorney General Robert Kennedy, the President’s younger brother and his closest advisor, was having lunch at his Washington home when the tragedy uh tragic news uh reached him. The President’s other brother, Senator Edward Kennedy, was presiding over the Senate when word of the assassination reached him he rushedout of the Senate Chamber and he and his sister Mrs. Eunice Shriver later flew to Hyannis Point to be with their parents.
Another sister Mrs. Patricia Lawford was placed under a doctors care at her home in Santa Monica California
(4:50/9:05 rubs left eye with left forefinger)after receiving word of the assassination.
Next week was to have been a big one for the Kennedy family particularly for Caroline
who will be 6 years old on Wednesdayand for John Jr. who observes his third birthday on Monday.
John-John,as the President called him,
was to have been celeb uh celebrated uh with his playmates at the White House on Tuesday.
And the next day Caroline was to have been the star of a big family birthday party up at Cape Cod.
And all of the Kennedy’s had been planning to get together
for their traditional Thanksgiving gathering at Hyannis Port on Thursday.(licks mouth 5:29/9:05)
For the two Kennedy children and for the entire family, of course,
Mr. Kennedy’s death today was the second family tragedy about which uh they had to be told this year.
The first the death uh in the case the children of their infant brother
Patrick Bouvoir Kennedy last August the 9th.
To recapitulate where some of the other principles in today’s tragedy are at this hour. The Kennedy family as we have said gathering in Hyannis Port.President Lyndon Baines Johnson at 54 by ascension now the 36th President of the United States is working as George Herman told you a moment ago in the Executive Office Building across the uh street from the uh White House. Mrs. uh Lyndon Johnson is at their home in Washington. The uh two Johnson children, daughters, one is at school in Washington the other was at Austin, Texas planning to be a part of the weekend on the LBJ Ranch outside of Austin at which President and Mrs. Kennedy were to have been the honored guests. Whether they are going to fly now to Washington uh is not known at this hour.
And the body of the late President John Fitzgerald Kennedy uh lies at the US Naval Hospital at Bethesda, Maryland. The body will be taken back to the White House to Lie in State at the White House tomorrow. On Sunday it will pay be taken to the Capital Building to remain in the Great Rotunda until noon on Monday. It is understood, at the moment, that the actual funeral services which will be a uh full-dress State Ceremony we will be held in Boston but a funeral mass will be said in Washington by Cardinal Cushing who married the uh Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy uh the uh couple of years ago.
(licks mouth 7:18/9:05)
Down in Dallas, Texas one other individual who may have been a principle in this tragedy today, the man whom the Police say is a prime suspect; Lee Oswald, a member of a Free Cuba committee. A man who went to Russia and attempted to take up citizenship there in 1959 and returned here only last year has been booked for the murder of a Dallas Policeman shot in the Texas theater three miles from the uh site on the Dallas street where President Kennedy was assassinated and Governor Connally was shot. Seized some 45 minutes later in a gun fight after the teller at the theater said that a man who looked like he was running from something had come into the theater. He was interrogated for more than 6 hours this afternoon. He has been booked now for the murder of the policeman, but there has been no charge leveled regarding the murder of the President of the United States. (licks mouth 8:17/9:05)
In case he, or the culprit is found and charged, it is a simple murder charge in the State of Texas. That is not a federal offense. And he would face electrocution by the laws of the State of Texas in the Huntsville, Texas State Penetenciary.
We are going to continue our coverage of this tragic day in a moment with special broadcasts recounting the career of the late President and a visit with the man who succeeded him.
This is Walter Cronkite.
Picture of flag at half mast.
Now this weapon was found in the building. Perhaps we should say reportedly found in the building from which the shot was fired on the Sixth floor. The man who used the weapon had a clear line of sight to the President’s motorcade although he was located about a block away because he was on the sixth floor of the building he had a clear line of sight on him.
Around the window from which the shot has been believed to have been fired there were bits of fried chicken indicating the man who used that gun had had a chicken lunch while waiting for the President’s motorcade. Also there were some text books and some boxes stacked up in that same window indicating the sniper apparently or possibly rested his gun on some textbooks and some wooden boxes to study?/steady? (not sure which he meant to say) his shot as he opened up on the President.
The man obviously was an excellent shot or very lucky in that witnesses said that 3 shots were fired. At least two of them found their marks. One for the President, the shot that killed him. The other, the shot that wounded Texas Governor John Connally. There has been at least one report that there were two shots that hit the President which would indicate that all three of the shots found their mark.
Now, we’ll go back to Dallas Police Headquarters and KRLD Bill Mercer as he interviews policemen Gerry Hill who has been working on the case almost from the moment that the shot which killed the President was fired. Policeman Gerry Hill has been at the Police Headquarters and has been in the room some of the time, the room in which Oswald has been questioned.
On the left looks like John Travolta from Grease in the news lately having to do with massage shop vampire gayness or the Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales. Looks like either from the profile.
Gerry: The shots were fired. Spent cartridges were found on the Sixth floor uh on the southeast window and we came back downstairs at this time after securing the scene to leave all the evidence with the crime lab.
When we got back downstairs and were talking to one of the officers on the street about what we had found upstairs we received notice by a citizen who was using a police radio that an officer had been shot in the Oak Cliff section of the city.
Q: That was uh Mr. Tippit.
A: That was Tippit. At this time uh Sargent Owens and I were instructed by the inspector in charge at the scene to report to Oak Cliff and begin the investigation out there. On our arrival we obtained a description of a suspect and we began tracing his steps through the aid of civilian witnesses. When we uh first received a location on him they said he was in one of two vacant buildings that were being used for furniture storage in the 400 block of East Jefferson. We reported to this location and uh called for some assistance to secure the buildings. And at that time we went into the buildings checked them out to determine that the suspect wasn’t there.
While we were still at this location we received word that he was in the library at Marseilles and Jefferson. We reported to that scene and then we uh found out this was also a bogus call.
But then the third call which proved to be the charm. Came out that the suspect had entered the Texas theater some 5 blocks away. When we arrived at this location uh we secured the building from the outside and Ray Hawkins and Eddy MacDonald, CT Walker, Bob Carroll, Paul Bently, KE Lines, myself, and other officers went into the building and we began a systematic check of all the suspects or all the people who were the in the theater.
As Officer MacDonald approached a suspect sitting on the third row in the back of the theater. The suspect jumped up and yelled, “This is it.”and took a swing at the officer. Officer MacDonald started to grapple with the man. As he reached for a gun which was concealed under his shirt. And uh the gun was fired one time by the suspect but luckily it misfired. The uh the pin hit the shell but it did not fire. MacDonald yelled for help. And the other officers in the theater and I managed to subdue the man, disarm him and hand cuff him.
At that time we brought him out of the building put him in a squad car and brought him straight to Homicide and Robbery and turned him over to Captain Fritz.
Q: Who were those officers Gerry?
A: Uh Officer Hawkins, MacDonald,CT Walker, Bob Carroll, KE Lines, Paul Bently, and myself were the ones that were actually in along with Bob Barrett from the FBI who was in on the arrest with us also.
Back to Dan Rather in the studio
And now very quickly back to Dallas Police Headquarters for a videotaped live camera scene of Lee Oswald as he was brought into another room for questioning.
Against the wall…. Step back….
Here is the suspect.
Could we reroll it please.
REROLL IT? ACTION:
The suspect is…
Back against the wall…
All right you want to….
Oswald: give me a hearing without legal representation or anything
You shoot the President?
Oswald: I didn’t shoot anybody, no sir.
Notice the man in the center of the picture who looks like a zombie in a daze. Not even looking at the subject of the picture and the center of everyone else’s attention …Oswald, but he looks like he is looking at the wall, I guess.
He kind of looks like George Wildman Ball,
Hmmmmm. That’s odd!.
Wikipedia says that George Ball was protecting others in Washington:
because of the plethora of dignitaries from all over the world
that were in Washington DC. attending JFK’s funeral.
The State Department is headquartered in the Harry S. Truman Building a few blocks from the White House and yet here he is in this picture with Lee Oswald.
Was he in Dallas or was he in Washington?
I have a post that tells a little bit about him linked below:
As you just heard Oswald says he did not shoot anybody.
You don’t have to push…..
Knock it off….
I’m being pummeled here.
Knock it off…..
I’m being pummeled very heavily. You just heard Oswald say I did no shoot anybody.
A scene of GREAT CONFUSION, but it does seemed contrived.
IF THEY WANTED A SCENE WITHOUT THIS HYSTERIA
THEY WOULD HAVE EMPTIED THE HALLWAY.
Obviously it was convenient.
Lee Oswald has been charged with the killing of a Dallas Policeman. He has not been charged in connection with the death of President Kennedy. This is Dan Rather in Dallas, Texas.
Back now to Harry Reasoner in New York:
Lets us go right away to the White House in Washington and a report from George Herman:
President Lyndon Johnson left his offices here almost exactly an hour ago. His old offices next door in the Executive Office Building his office which he occupied as the Vice President of the United States. Tomorrow morning he’ll be back in the Oval Office here in the West Wing, the Office of the President. Before he left tonight President Johnson conferred with the top advisors of the Kennedy Administration: Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara, Assistant Secretary of State George Ball other leaders, Congressional Leaders of both parties from the House and from the Senate. He talked by telephone with J. Edgar Hoover discussing the progress of the investigation into who who was the assassin of the late President Kennedy. He talked to Texas to talk to the doctors of Governor Connally. Was told that Governor Connally’s condition was good.
Tomorrow at 9:30 Lyndon Johnson starts his first full day as President of the United States. Meets at 9:30 at his office with the Secretary of State Secretary Rusk. Secretary Rusk has been flying all night. Is expected back here in Washington around midnight. He and five other Cabinet Officers were on their way to an important economic meeting in Japan when they heard the word in the Mid Pacific turned around and on on their way back to Washington.
Around the same time that President Johnson meets with Secretary Rusk, Mrs. Kennedy and the body of the late President will be entering the White House. The President’s body will Lie-In-Repose in the East Room, the gold and white East Room, of the White House where President Kennedy provided/presided over so many dinners, so many formal entertainments as President of the United States. Tomorrow the body will be seen by the family and by officials of the United States Government. After that it will be taken from the White House in an official cortege to the Rotunda of the United States Capital at 1:00 o’clock Sunday and there it will lie not in repose. but In-State for one day. Members in the President’s family, his Cabinet, and government leaders and members of the Supreme Court and Congress and Diplomatic representatives of the countries of the earth will be present at ceremonies placing the President’s body in the condition of Full-State-Mourning.
The public will be permitted to file past the beer (not sure what this is) in the Rotunda shortly after it’s arrival and until 9:00 Sunday night and once again Monday morning from 9 until 10:00 o’clock in the morning. Then the body will be moved Monday at 11:00 o’clock to St.Matthews Cathedral between 17th and 18th Street Northwest on Rhode Island Avenue for a pontifical requiem. A requiem mass at 12:00 o’clock noon. The mass will be celebrated by the late President’s good friend his eminence Richard Cardinal Cushing the Archbishop of Boston.
The late President Kennedy had once discussed the question of possible assassination with CBS News Correspondent Charles Von Fremd. Here are Correspondent Von Fremd’s recollections of that event.
A casual conversation with John Kennedy about 12,000 feet over the Great Plains in early July of 19 hundred and 60 came back to haunt me today. On that July evening I was one of 4 newsmen flying with the Democratic Presidential hopeful in his family plane The Caroline on a flight back from South Dakota. The Primaries were behind the Senator. He had won them all. Earlier that day he had won pledges from 4 South Dakota Delegates to the Democratic Presidential Convention that was to start 10 days later. The Senator was confident and for the first time really thought the White House might be his.
He knew that I had covered the White House during 6 years of the Eisenhower Administration and asked how living in the White House would differ from the day to day life of a Junior Senator from Massachussetts. Among other things I pointed out to Senator Kennedy the Secret Service would endow/allow (not sure if endow is the right word but sounds like it but it does not make any sense but then neither does allow!) to a great extent, that is, if he won the White House dictate how he moved about outside the White House. The President for instance was told by the Secret Service when and where he could take care of physical necessities while on the road: The food he ate, the highways he took had to be approved by the SS.
The Senator slapping his thigh in a characteristic gesture said he thought the Secret Service while a dedicated and confident organization was really faced with an impossible responsibility. John Kennedy argued that any intelligent sharp shooter however mad could gun down the President of the United States if he wanted to badly enough and planned it carefully enough. He thought the Secret Service agents running along side the Presidential limousine in the motorcade only succeeded really in just blocking the view of the average public who turned out to see him.
President Kennedy did make some drastic changes in Secret Service rules. He frequently relegated the Secret Service driver to the back seat of his limousine and took the wheel himself. On his recent trip to New York City he drove the Secret Service Agents and the City Police to despair by dispensing with the heavily protected motorcade.
He often popped out of hotel suites minus a Security Guard.
A slur insinuating nonsense. Give me a break!
How would Charles Von Fremd know?
Like many men who have had several brushes with death and survived John Kennedy treated death with contempt.
It is ironic that when the assassin’s bullet came it came when he was under heavy security guard.
And in death, John Kennedy proved himself a prophet (Licks).
I can still hear him observe in that cool casual manner aboard The Caroline more than 3 years ago that an intelligent sharp shooter could gun down the President if he wanted to badly enough.
It was a risk that John Kennedy enthusiastically chose to take and it cost him his life today (Licks).
This is Charles Von Fremd in Washington. (Licks).
(Of course, it wasn’t a sharp shooter it was Jackie sitting next to him that killed him.
Or her double.
The Zapruder film shows Jackie with a smoking weapon.)
Back to Harry Reasoner:
Here is a brief summary of the events of the day and those to come. Upon today’s assassination of President Kennedy Lyndon B. Johnson became the new President of the United States. The body of President Kennedy will Lie-In-Repose in the East Room of the White House all day tomorrow Saturday. On Sunday a cortege will move the late President to the Rotunda of the Capitol where he will Lie-In-State Sunday afternoon and Monday.
The White House announced tonight that former Presidents Eisenhower and Truman will go to Washington this weekend to join the nation in it’s official mourning. On Monday at noon Boston’s Richard Cardinal Cushing a close friend of the family will officiate at a at a pontifical requiem mass in Washington St. Matthew’s Cathedral.
Throughout this coming weekend President Johnson will be briefed by the men who are now his Presidential Advisors as those Cabinet and government officials return to their posts in the Capitol.
In Dallas the business of bringing an assassin to justice continues. Police say they have a prime suspect in 24 year old Lee Harvey Oswald a pro Castro Marxist who once defected to Russian then returned to this country claiming disillusionment with the Soviet system.
For the moment Oswald has been charged with the murder of a Dallas policeman killed on a street near the assassination’s scene. Police say that Oswald was in the building from which the President was shot at the time of the assassination. Oswald has denied any involvement in the assassination.
Texas Governor John Connally the second victim of the shooting is reported in satisfactory condition at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, he is expected to recover.
CBS News reported earlier today that Senator Goldwater was reached with the news of President Kennedy’s death as he was flying to Muncie Indiana for a political dinner. This in fact was not the case. The Senator was on his way to attend the funeral of his mother-in-law. Senator Goldwater called the President’s death shocking and dreadful and asked, “how can a thing like this happen? The President’s death is a profound loss to the nation and the world,” said Goldwater. “He and I were personal friends. This is also a great loss to me. Mrs. Goldwater and I offer our heartfelt sympathies to Mrs. Kennedy and the President’s family.” That reaction from Senator Barry Goldwater of Arizona.
In Washington if there is a hope and a sign tonight the new President of the United States has it. He has plunged head long into his new and monumental duties with full energy reportedly anxious to get the machinery of government moving as quickly as possible.
The CBS Television Network will broadcast no commercial entertainment and no programming until after the burial of the late President Kennedy which will probably be on Tuesday in Boston, Massachussetts. CBS will return on the network tomorrow and through the weekend to continue to report on the latest developments as President Johnson assumes his new duties and responsibilities.
At 6:03 P.M. Lyndon Baines Johnson age 55 returned to Washington aboard an Air Force jet as the 36th President of the United States.
Johnson remained aboard the plane until President Kennedy’s body had been removed. Then he and Mrs. Johnson walked slowly down the ramp and over to a group of waiting Congressmen. For 23 years of his 26 years in national politics Mr. Johnson had served with these men, first as a congressman, later as a United States Senator. These were his friends the men he knew and understood best.
Tammuz the Crab
President Johnson being led about by Chief Rowley of the Secret Service
(but not really the Chief Rowley)
at Bethesda Air Force Base.
Please read both posts about the shepherd crab and about Billy Graham:
Johnson helped to pull Texas and Louisiana gack in to the Democratic Column. Both had voted for Dwight Eisenhower in 1956. Mr. Johnson campaigned with his characteristic energy:
“……are against sweat shops in the Democratic Party and so are you.
We are for the working people in the Democratic Party and so are you.
We are for the working people in the Democratic Party and so are you.
We are for the farmer in the Democratic farmer and so are you.
We are against bigotry in the Democratic Party.
We are for equality before the law of all men regardless of race, religion, or the region in which they live and so are you.
And if you will give us your hand, and if you will renounce the and the Coolidges and the Hoovers and the Bensons and the Nixons and give us your hand and your heart, your voice and your vote, on January the 20th we will give all the people of all the states of all the regions an Administration that will be of the people by the people and for the people.
Goodbye and God bless you!”
Back to Harry Reasoner
The results of that campaign are now history. the Kennedy Johnson ticket squeaked through with a plurality of just over a hundred thousand votes. On a cold blustery day in January Lyndon Johnson stood before an inaugural crowd in Washington to be sworn in as Vice President by his old friend Sam Rayburn:
Sam Rayburn: I, Lyndon Baines Johnson….
LBJ: I, Lyndon Baines Johnson….
Sam Rayburn: Do solemnly swear….
LBJ: Do solemnly swear….
Sam Rayburn: That I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic.
LBJ: I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic.
Sam Rayburn: That I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same.
LBJ: That I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same.
Sam Rayburn: I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion
LBJ: I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation whatever
Sam Rayburn: And I will faithfully discharge the duties of the Office upon which I am about to enter so help me God.
LBJ: And I will faithfully discharge the duties of the Office in which I am about to enter so help me God.
Back to Harry Reasoner
President Kennedy had decided at the outset of his Administration that Vice President Johnson was to be a working Vice President, not a ceremonial figurehead. One prime mission that Mr. Johnson undertook for the President was an around the world fact finding tour. A tour to sound out other chiefs of government and to access the wills of people in foreign lands.
In Germany Vice President Johnson went to the Berlin Wall.
And on the other side of the world a visit to Chiang Kai-shek
Leader of Nationalist China on Fermosa.
And then there was Mr. Johnson’s visit to the Vatican for a call on the late Pope John.
Was he late to show up or do they mean dead?
The Vatican outdid itself for the then Vice President’s visit. The meeting with the pope had all the appearances of a friendly formal visit. But all that went before and after the personal meeting with the pope was conducted with all the pomp and fanfare that one might expect for royalty.
President Kennedy had made his Vice President a member of the Committee on Government Contracts and at a meeting of Nation’s Industrialists attended by President Kennedy, Mr Johnson told them of their responsibilities as contractors for the government:
“…..all over the world but assuming he didn’t we demonstrated that Americans believe what they say in their Constitution and their Declaration of Independence and that uh no single American is black marked and hand cuffed and put over in a corner because of his religion.
And we demonstrated something else that I think equally important and maybe more so that you can elect a Vice President from the South regardless of his region.
Uh so we’ve made a good deal of headway in these fields and we think we are improving our system. And you are here as one of uh some 100 men who we look as the Titans, the leaders the the uh ones that have gone up the rung of the ladder, and we want other people to learn much from you by both precept and example. And we don’t want to do it with a pestle at your temple. And we don’t want to say, ”We have the authority. Here’s the Executive Order. Cancel out the contract. Let ‘em send their lobbyists and their lawyers down here. We just a we don’t like the report we got, because we’re not operating that way. And the thing that pleases us, particularly today, is that a good many of you have no defense contract and you are going to be a showcase for America and in each of these 104 nations that constantly hear this propaganda every day:
that we only grow babies for breakfast.”
I have no idea what he is talking about.
Walter Cronkite has interviewed most of the nations leaders. He has had long chats with General Eisenhower, with President Kennedy, and during the last campaign there was this interview with Mr. Johnson.
Walter Cronkite: Why would a man who loves these hills and has this magnificent ranch and this vista you got here on the river want to uh ever take the time out to fight these hard difficult battles in the distant remote Washington D.C.?
Johnson: Well uh Walter uh I think that we enjoy the time that we spend here but all of my life uh I have wanted to be a public servant as my father ahead of me was and I grew up uh wanting to help people with their problems and I get a satisfaction and a sense of achievement from uh constructive efforts on behalf of human beings that you can’t get in almost any other profession. Uh I will have been in Washington 30 years come next year and uh I think I would just be lost if uh I didn’t work uh in some public field. If I couldn’t be on public life I would want to be a teacher as I was before I entered the public life because uh I could have an influence on the minds of the young people and lead them in the directions I would like to see them go. I’ve often said that if I had a boy I’d want him to be either a politician or a preacher or a teacher because they would have a sense of achievement that comes uh uh from few other professions.
Walter Cronkite: Well now, it took you a little while to find this way of your life. Uh you here at the ranch uh you wanted to get away early in life you you went away as a laborer before uh your disappointed father succeeded in getting you back and into teacher’s college. Uh why did you want to leave in the first place?
Johnson: Well uh Walter I didn’t want to leave, it was more of a necessity. I i worked all of my life. As a little boy I shined shoes at the barber shop. I was a printer’s devil I ran off the weekly paper on Thursday afternoon the Old Washington Press, I inked it. Uh that’s one I
Walter Cronkite: That’s Washington Texas press.
Johnson: When I uh When I uh That’s the name of the press. Uh when I uh graduated from high school at 15 I wanted a job and there were not any jobs to be had around here in 1924. So I took the old philosopher’s advice Horace Greeley and went west, young man and worked two years in california in the Platt Building as an elevator boy in San Bernadino and finally wound up in the lawyer’s office. But I came back and mother talked me into going to college and during the period I was in college I taught a Latin American School down in South Texas and it gave me great satisfaction and I thought I wanted to be a teacher. So when I finished college I went to Houston taught a year and then the great opportunity of my life uh came to me when Congressman Clayburgh one of the owners of the King Ranch asked me to go to Washington as his Secretary in the Hoover Administration in 1931 and uh except for a brief period of 15 months I’ve been in Washington ever since:12 years in the House, 12 years in the Senate, 5 years there as the Secretary.
Walter Cronkite: Had you given any thought to a political career before that appointment to go to Washington?
Johnson: Yes uh I assumed ever since they first told me of Grandpa’s uh prediction uh I had an ambition to be a United States Senator and uh I took the steps that I felt were calculated to prepare me for that work to make it possible for me to be elected. I was first elected to Congress when I was 28 in 1937. In 1941 Senator Sheppard died and I ran to succeed him. I was defeated in a very close race by the then Governor of the State W. Lee O’Daniel. He defeated me in 1941 by 13 hundred and 11 votes out of more than a million. And then I waited until 1948 and when Governor he then Senator O’Daniel decided not to run I ran for that place and had a uh very close race but was elected in November and have been in the Senate (not sure of the words but I think this is what he said) since that time.
Walter Cronkite: Well that loss to uh Senator W. Lee O’Daniel must have been a rather bitter one for you, your first major State race. Did you uh, what did you ascribe your loss to then?
Johnson: No it wasn’t bitter uh. I think that uh Governor O’Daniel is a very popular public figure at the time and I was a very young man and had uh was unknown uh though out the state. I represented the uh district in Central Texas and uh I I would ra ….I ran rather surprisingly well uh well the uh at that age and with the resources at my command.
Walter Cronkite: Your technique of leadership is considerably different. Uh Uh If I may I’d like to quote uh uh from a chap here who one observers quoted one of your Being won over Johnson is a rather overwhelming experience. The full treatment is incredibly potent mixture of persuaion, badgering, flattery, threats, reminders of past favors and future advantages. Well that’s a technique for leadership obviously. Uh How does this….
Johnson: I would say I would say that uh uh the fellow was more interested in his sentence structure than he was accuracy. Grins
Walter Cronkite: Laughs
Johnson: Uh uh you don’t deal with Senators really that way uh I think the only thing uh that uh that is calculated to appeal to members of the Senate is a presentation of the facts and the soundness of your logic. Uh nearly every Senator that uh takes the oath of office is uh is elected on a platform of doing what’s right and uh your problem as leader is to convince him that uh the cause you represent is the right cause. Now uh uh there’s not any favors you can do for a Senator that you remind him of uh there’s no cajolery or flattery involved uh uh that doesn’t appeal to a man that’s capable and worthy of representing one of the great states in the Union. Uh they’re not school boys. Even though some of these fellows that uh write these things sometimes uh uh make them sound uh that way. Uh I would say that uh I try to follow the old prophet Isaiah’s advice “Come let us reason together.” And uh that course of action uh always appeals to reasonable men.
I don’t want to sound unreasonable, but right after he said ‘reasonable men’ he licked,
which he rarely does in this interview.
I find this kind of odd… the timing, that is.
And most Senators are reasonable uh uh Republicans sometimes uh a little more difficult for us Democrats to reason with then the members of our own party but uh all of ‘em are patriotic uh uh uh members of the Senate and they want to do what’s best for their country. And uh once they’re convinced that the cost …the course of action that you present is for the best interest of America uh you’ll usually have a lopsided vote in your favor.
Walter Cronkite: Senator uh since you were a protege in a sense of uh Franklin Delanor Roosevelt in in those early days of the New Deal with your NYA Administration here uh you were identified with the more liberal element of the Democratic Party in those days and I think in recent years the identification has been more toward the conservative side. Is is this uh the kind of the normal development of a man do you feel toward the liberal to the conservative and is this a tendency that’s likely to continue in your own life, do you feel or?
Johnson: Well, I presume that we all become a little more prudent uh as we uh grow older although I’ve never been much of a believer in uh labels. I’m a great admirer of President Roosevelt’s now just as I was then. Uh he hasn’t changed uh uh in my viewpoint any and uh as I engage in a little introspection I haven’t changed much. Uh uh my philosophy is that I’m a free man first and uh an American second, United States Senator third, and a Democrat fourth. In that order. Now, I’m a member of the Democratic Party because I think that uh through the vehicle of that party I can best uh see my philosophy translated into action. I believe my party cares more uh about the problems uh of the people of this country and is more concerned with helping them with their problems than the Republican Party and for that reason I’m a Democrat. But uh uh Im uh a free man and American and a Senator first.
Walter Cronkite: Senator uh uh
Johnson: I don’t go in much for the labels of the liberal and conservative. Uh I think you can be a progressive uh Senator and still be a prudent Senator. I don’t think you have to be a wastrel. I think we’ve demonstrated that in the Democratic Party by cutting 12 and half billion dollars uh from the President’s budget request. I think you can be a Conservative uh Senator without being a reactionary Senator/ Uh but labels don’t mean much to me what I’m interested in is is this peice of legislation or is this uh project or is this program good for my country? Is it the right thing to do? And if it’s good for my country, it’s good for my party, and consequently good for me.
Walter Cronkite: Senator Uh uh the darkest day I guess in your uh in your life came in 1955 when you had the heart attack, which we all know about. But I’m wondering how that uh experience affected your philosophy. I know that there are some who we in our researchers have talked to and they in the Senate to uh said that t before that they sort of thought you were a brash young politician but after that they thought you became the politician’s politician. That this was a turning point in a way. Do you feel that yourself at all?
Johnson: No, I don’ t think it had any uh uhappreciable affect on the course of my conduct at all. I think during the period of 60 days when I was uh uh away from the Senate Chamber that uh I had time to reflect and uh really appreciate all the good people that I had known and uh how unworthy perhaps I had been of their devotion and their friendship. Uh, I know that uh I never really recognized the fact that uh uh the Senators could be as good men as they demonstrated to me they were. Uh, I remember Senator Nowlin wrote me nearly everyday that I was in the hospital and I had communications from every member of the Senate except one. A good many of ‘em came to see me nearly everyday and uh it was their interest and in their prayers I think that sustained me during that period uh when I was somewhat distressed. But uh after the initial two months and I came back here to the ranch I haven’t observed that it’s affected my conduct of public business uh at all. As a matter of fact, I am sometimes amused when I think of the letter I received from President Eisenhower uh telling me that he had read in the papers of my activity and he thought I was uh uh going to work a little too fast and he hoped I’d slow down. And that letter was went to me without a signature by General Person. General Person said that it was the last letter dictated by the President the night before he had his heart attack and he was lecturing me on slowing down a little bit to just before he had his.
Tonight Lyndon Johnson is the new President. Our Correspondent at the White House George Herman has a report on the new occupant:
President Lyndon Baines Johnson like the man he succeeds is above all a political pragmatist. As the Leader of the United States Senate he often told us that he always counted the votes he thought he could muster before leading his party into a fight. He thought wasting his parties energy on a fight he could not win was not only wasteful but foolish and Senator Lyndon Johnson was wise, efficient, and able. He led all the many voices inside his party speak on every issue. He squelched no shade of opinion, but still the Senate under his leadership moved ahead steadily and with dispatch. President Johnson is not the lightning fast reader and talker as his predecessor was. He likes to talk slowly likes to slip in anecdotes and to make sure that his meaning is fully taken on any one subject before he moves onto another. President Johnson has a considerable streak of toughness in him and surprisingly to most liberal Democrats at least he has along liberal record behind him. He came to Congress in 1937 as a very strong supporter of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. So strong and so vocal in fact that President Roosevelt brought the young Congressman to Washington aboard the Presidential yacht. He served as a Federal Youth Official in Texas. A Negro college President in that state has long since revealed that Lyndon Johnson kept their colleges going during the Great Depression by channeling federal funds in their direction. Unlike former President Truman President Johnson has not only been kept on the inside of the secrets of the Kennedy Administration he has also been sent as a spokesman around the world and has gotten a good taste of world problems and more important perhaps the way other nations view the United States and Washington. The big question of course in any sudden change of Presidents at mid administration (I think this is what he said, but not sure) is which of the members of the organization which President Kennedy so painstakingly built up President Johnson is going to feel comfortable with. He will of course review the entire administration man by man and in time the shape of his own new administration will begin to show. One historical and inescapable fact must always be born in mind the Presidency is an office of great weight. It has enormous momentum. And as every President since Franklin D. Roosevelt has discovered the office tends to mold and shape the man to a form that few of his friends would have guessed at beforehand. Tomorrow Lyndon Baines Johnson will sit at the desk of the President of the United States and the molding shaping process on our new President and his government will begin. This is George Herman at the White House now back to Harry Reasoner:
We understand that Adlai Stevenson has just made a statement at the White House and we’re going to switch there
now for that statement by videotape.
The tragedy of this day is is beyond any instant comprehension. All of us knew him (licks) will bear the grief of his death until the day of ours and all men everywhere who love justice
Someone says: Louder?
and freedom and peace will bow their heads. At such a moment one can only turn to prayer
Someone says: Well we can’t move. What?
Prayer to comfort our grief to sustain Mrs. Kennedy and his family and to strengthen President Johnson and to guide us in time to come. May God help us all.
A lot of things are being said and wondered about the new President tonight but only he can know what it is to be called upon suddenly to take on the burdens of that office. The weight of grief of concern were apparent as President Johnson returned to Washington this evening.
This is a sad time for all people. We have suffered a loss that cannot be weighed. For me it is a deep personal tragedy. I know that the world shares the sorrow that Mrs. Kennedy and her family bear, I will do my best. That is all that I can do. I ask for your help and Gods.
I don’t really know if it is possible but I heard him sayhumans so I went back to hear it again and he said again the word humans and then when I went back again to be sure that I heard correctly then in its place he said people all within a minute or so while transcribing this just now. Hmmm:)
As the new President is being studied by the world the late President is being mourned. Throughout the country there will be services of grief and tribute. Tonight in Los Angeles a Memorial Mass is held for John F. Kennedy. Our reporter is Charles Coralt:
Kids singing a hymn.
This is Charles Coralt

at the Our Lady Chapel in South Street in Los Angeles. Our father John Sheridan is officiating at a solemn Requiem Mass for the late President Kennedy:
Tomorrow there will be a final hour
for the public to pay there final respects to the President
before the President leaves Capitol Hill for the last time.

(Harry Reasoner in New York interrupts this program)
We are now switching to Dallas where they are about to move Lee Oswald and where there is a scuffle in the Police Station.
Someone says: Has been shot. Lee Oswald ……We’re gonna (…..garbled calm chatter by reporters.)
Switch now. (Yelling in the scuffle.)Police police are pulling.
We’re going to switch now to Bob Hoffhacker down in the placement of the Court house who is close to the scene. Go ahead, Bob.
(Bob :In a very southern accent) The situation now is now that Lee Harry Oswald has been shot.
The man who saw the shot fired said it was fired by a man wearing a black hat a brown coat a man that everyone down here thought was a Secret Service Agent.
(All the reporters are talking to their respective listeners so many are talking at once but saying different things, but the guy leaning down crouched in front is the one speaking to the camera) who looks eerily like John Cusack, the actor! Since there are so many other actor participants in this assassination and coverup.
I would not be surprised if it is John Cusack.
Why not? I’ve seen Amanda Plummer and many other actors that are a part of this National Tragedy even though they were
just kids at the time this occurred just like most of us. Somehow we are all involved as if it is evolving now. Anything is possible and since realizing the clergy’s role and particular clergy that I believe I have discovered acting in an evil manner in this assassination and occurring as other momentous deceptive religious events were and are now occurring that affect you which are extremely menacing to you and your loved ones and your fellow man and even your enemies. I have tried to share what I notice even as outlandish as it may sound.
But then back in the 40′s and 50′s actors were blackballed and seemed to be important enough to be blackballed. Obviously they can be used as a tool by some especially when it comes to propaganda but that doesn’t mean they hadn’t evolved in their response to these measures. Same goes for the clergy, newsmen, government officials and civilians propelled into this controversy.
It is a collision of sorts like “The Big Bang” or the collision I wrote about between “The synoptic gospels and the gospel of John.” It is obviously very important and should not be ignored.
Here is a good example :
Basil Christopher Butler OSB (7 May 1902–20 September 1986), was a convert from the Church of England to the Roman Catholic Church, a Roman Catholic priest, the 7th Abbot of Downside Abbey, one-time Abbot President of the English Benedictine Congregation, a bishop, an internationally respected scripture scholar,
a consistent defender of the
priority of the
and perhaps the pre-eminent English-speaking Council Father at the Second Vatican Council
(Vatican II, 1962–1965).
Bishop Butler was at the airport in Dallas the day of the assassination
which I wrote about in the link below:
Seems to me JFK’s funeral was based on this premise
of St. Mmatthew’s pre-eminence
and his funeral details were planned by the government and Jackie Kennedy
as far as I know.
Probably Cardinal Cushing had a hand in it also.
Here is a post about inconsistencies in the Gospel of Matthew I hope you will read linked:
I guess if they can kill him at church they can kill him on the street was said or similar statement by him according to his Secretary Mrs. Lincoln.
This is no small affair.
This is big business.
Whether it matters to you or not
it mattered to them
and it will affect you,
Wasn’t the Synoptic disciple Matthew also a Tax Collector?
Maybe this assassination and it’s cover-up, Vatican ll, the Vietnam war
and everything else afterwards is merely about
tax exemption for churches
and money laundering through those churches.
Big Business, Banking, and the MOB,
but at who’s expense?
Or more importantly who really was Jesus of Nazareth?
Which gospel is telling the truth?
The Synoptics Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke
or the Gospel of John?
The following post compares the Synoptic Gospels about Jesus with the Gospel of John
which I hope you will read:
Who knows ….maybe that is true?
But I do know that this is important and it is not a waste of my time.
The evidence has only recently been released to the public and in a trickle.
The government could not or did not handle the issues back in the sixties
and dropped the ball, maybe intentionally
and now it is up to us to try to understand
what did occur and by whom and why it matters.
By the way the government is supposed to be us.
So it is up to us to do something about it over and above the ridicule and derision
that is associated with the attempt.
And even though it is as perplexing as it is,
I hope you won’t ignore the possible consequences
and try to help as best you are able.
What you do or do not do
may actually have an effect on the outcome
back then, now, and later!
The …Oswald was moved immediately from the area. No one knows at this time where Lee Harold Oswald is
(but his comments seem to be dubbed not matching his lip movements like a very bad movie, but it was as it happened, supposedly.)
At the present time word is that an ambulance is being ready to take Oswald away. We can hear sirens outside. And an ambulance apparently is moving down now into the basement.
(Wow that was fast within seconds of the mass turmoil and he’s getting all this word. News does travel fast)
Here comes the ambulance and a Oswald will be removed now.
The ambulance is being pulled up in front of us here. Here someone has
Get back, back.
Just get low okay. Okay Okay Okay.
Pat can you move. Pat move just a little bit to your left.
We can see now that police are fending off newsmen in the basement in Dallas City Hall fending them off so that uh Lee Oswald can be taken to an ambulance which was just brought into the basement of the City Hall. Switching now to Bob Hoffhacker downstairs.
Oswald will be removed quickly outside and the only word so far is that the shot came from a man wearing a black hat and a coat. Here comes Oswald. He’s he is ashen and unconscientious at this time now being moved in. He’s not moving. He’s in the ambulance now and attendants, police are quickly climbing in. They are now having to move the armored truck from the head of the basement entrance here.
This is the armored this is the armored truck on the outside of the Dallas Police Department.
It’s being moved out on to Commerce Street and now the ambulance is coming out the ambulance with Lee Harvey Oswald who was shot just a few minutes ago as he was being transferred to the uh from was planning to be transferred from the City Jail to the City uh City Police Department…..
We are back at headquarters in New York. We have..We got our tape. We have reracked the videotape that shows that
whole scene of confusion we will now roll it and you can see it as it happens:
<——–About this time a car honks.
Photographer getting a good shot
on the right of the snapshot..
Here he is. There he is.
Then the shot is fired.
Obviously, whoever honked the car was signaling whoever shot the gun.
Right after the shot immediately this monologue occurs from some press person calmly
as if he already knows what is happening before it occurs reflecting in words what is occurring.
This is a basement for of the Dallas City Hall and that’s a scuffle on the basement floor. It seems to be …garbled
Policeman behind the man in a coat and hat tries to disarm him, I think.
Someone says: He has been been shot. Oswald has been shot. (Sounds like Hoffhacker)
We’re going to….Lee Oswald
Oswald has been shot.
You have just seen the replay of the videotape of the actual shooting of Lee Oswald in Dallas. Now
we’re going back for live coverage they’re talking to the Police Chief down there now:
Someone asks:…..fired the shot. How many shots?
Someone says: Just one shot.
Someone says: Just one shot. Uh Now then just (garbled) Is the man upstairs in the cell?
Policeman: As far as I know he’s either in uh the jail or at Cpt. Fritz’s office. I would imagine he’s probably in jail.
Hoffhacker: Do you uh do you know this subject? Do you know him? Have you seen him before.
Policeman: Yes, I do.
Hoffhacker: Is he from Dallas?
Someone says: Who?
Someone else says: He is?
Hoffhacker: Who is he?
Someone else asks a question but can’t tell you what it is because a few people are speaking at the same time.
Policeman answers: I couldn’t tell you.
Hoffhacker: Well you can’t release the name now but uh do you know what kind of business he happens to be in?
Policeman: Uh, Bob, I I wouldn’t want to say.
Someone says: Right, okay.
Someone else a familiar voice says: Uh, did he have to be disarmed or did he give up?
Policeman: We had to disarm him.
Someone asks: Did he struggle?
Policeman: Uh as much as he could yes but…..
Woman in background looks familiar. She looks like the woman at the White House who turns around when the name Shriver is mentioned in speaking about the kids in the report given by George Herman in Part 1maybe Part 2 of this series. She also resembles the lady at the CBS News Studio in New York with Walter Cronkite in the background smoking and seemed to be giving signals or trying to in
Part 1 and maybe Part 2 of this series. I will check on that soon.
Policeman on the left talking to reporters in the snapshot on the right
looks like Men in Black star Tommy Lee Jones
in the picture on the left
and sounds just like him.
I don’t know
it is kind of Erie!
Why is he sticking out his tongue?
Are they the machin-ery President Kennedy warned about in his infamous speech:“monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covet means for expanding it’s sphere of influence: On infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerillas by night instead of armies by day.It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific, and political operations……….”
Also interesting descriptions from some Sen. Yarborough, Dr. Crenshaw, ambulance driver Aubrey Reich from O’Neal Funeral Home of the scene at Parkland hospital and the power struggle over his President Kennedy’s body that ensued.
which is linked and compared it to a picture
of a man sitting with Jackie Kennedy and JFK on a boat
from the french series called What Jackie Knew linked below the pictures .
So you have to wonder
if and why Jackie and JFK
are hanging out with Lee Oswald
on a boat?
What Jackie knew – Part 4 (4:02/9:25)
19 Do they provoke me to anger? saith the Lord: do they not provoke themselves
to the confusion of their own faces?
7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them,
because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.
This is Walter Cronkite back in our CBS Newsroom in New York. We will be returning to Washington of course, uh very shortly. But this is to report again that Lee Harvey Oswald the 24 year old Marxist Pro Castrolite to Dallas Police said they had a cinch case against the accused assassin of President Kennedy was himself shot to death in Dallas an hour and a half ago. He was shot in the basement of the City Jail as police attempted to transfer him from that jail where he had been held since the assassination to the County Jail a few blocks away.
Why in the world were they moving him to the County Jail? Who knows for sure but in my opinion as yet it was an excuse to cause more confusion and mayhem and lay the blame elsewhere. Smoke and mirrors.
The police captured a man at the scene who reporters saw shoot Oswald and have booked him. They say his name is Jack Ruby or Rubenstein. He is 52 years old, a bachelor, a Dallas nightclub operator who as fas as anyone has been able to find out had no particular political opinions.
Someone passes something to Walter Cronkite.
Rubenstein (Walter licks) uh or Ruby as he is known there had been in Dallas some ten years. He (garble or a glitch) automobile just outside the entrance to the basement leaped a three foot fence and with perfect timing dashed into an open door of the basement just as Oswald was led from an elevator from an upstairs jail toward an armored car that had been brought to the jail for special precautions for moving him to the County Building. Ruby if that uh turns out to be the man involved in the murder of Oswald ran forward right up to Oswald and from less than a foot away fired a small caliber pistol. The bullet did mortal damage to Oswald who apparently never regained consciousness. He was taken to Parkland Hospital and died an hour and fifteen minutes after he was shot in a Emergency room just 10 feet from the room where President Kennedy had died almost exactly 48 hours before.
And now let’s go down to Dallas and Dan Rather:
In Dallas with Lee Oswald the man accused of assassinating President Kennedy, dead.
The big question now is what kind of man shot Lee Oswald,
In Dan Rather’s mind it worked…the smoke and mirrors. Off of the assassination of JFK and on to the assassination of Oswald, but not really
We have in the studios of our affiliate station KRLD TV here in Dallas Bill DeMar who is a nightclub MC, a comedian by profession. Bill worked in the nightclub owned by Jack Ruby. Jack Rubisstein (as he pronounced it) is his real name known in Dallas circles as Jack Ruby.
Q: Bill how long have you been working at the Carousel Club owned by Jack Rubenstein?
Bill: Uh, this time about two weeks.
Q: You had worked for him before, had you?
Bill: Three times before, this is my fourth time here.
Q: The Carousel Club is located right in downtown Dallas. What kind of place is it?
Bill: Well it’s a nightclub. Uh it has about five or six exotic dancers uh all (garbled)
Q: Is it a pretty rough place?
Bill: No, no a there’s a lot of people that have said to me when they came up to me after shows or between shows that said that they liked the place because it was intimate. (licks)
Q: What kind of man is Jack Rubenstein?
Bill: Well, if you know him he’s he’s a pretty good type guy. He, uh always treated me right and we always got along real well. Uh, I consider him more of a friend than an employer.
Q: Is he an extrovert? Is he a hand shaking backslapping rather loud type person?
A: In a way, yes. Yes, uh uh kind of impulsive. He’d change from one thing to the other, sometimes do things out of the clear blue.
Q: You say rather impulsive?
Bill: At times.
Q: Could you give us an example of what you would consider as some impulsive actions?
Bill: mmm, No, his mind would would uh uh is always working is always going and uh he’d be uh possibly talking to you about one thing and all of a sudden he’d take off about on something else.
Q: Is he married? What the heck does that have to do with it?
Bill: No, he never has been, to my knowledge. It seemed that he mentioned to me before that he never married. Doesn’t drink, doesn’t smoke.
Q: There have been some reports that uh he came to Dallas from Chicago. Do you know anything about that?
Bill: No I don’t.
Q: Does he have a police record of which you are aware?
Bill: No, not that I know of
Q: Did it surprise you when you heard this morning that he’d possibly fired the shots which uh wound up killing Lee Oswald?
Bill: Definitely, I was very shocked and very saddened uh that uh Jack would even be involved. But, uh, I don’t know. The fact that he had closed the club so definitely like he did ur uh putting up a sign saying closed and taking the pictures out of the front of the club and um not calling me notifying me that he had closed. Uh, he had somebody else call, but I never got the message.
Q: Now when was this? He called when to tell you the club was closed.
Bill: He didn’t call me.
Q: I see.
Bill: Uh he had somebody else call me.
Q: When was this?
Bill: Uh, Friday uhhh when I had heard about the news of the President uh I reluctantly got ready to go to work because I hadn’t got the message that he had closed. They failed to deliver the message to me and so I got ready to go to work and got down there and saw the sign on the front saying” Closed” and I drove around to the other two clubs and they were closed, but they had no notice.
Q: Did he own two more clubs in town?
Bill: No I the other two uh burlesque clubs that are near there.
Q: I see. Do you know anything about Jack Rubenstein’s political philosophies?
Bill: No he never uh spoke about anything. When we’d go for breakfast afterwards or anything the only thing he’d talk about was his business.
Q: Did you ever hear him say anything about President Kennedy?
Wow listen to this!
Q: Do you know Lee Oswald? Have you ever seen him?
Bill: To my knowledge if I recollect correctly I saw him in the audience last week.
Q: Lee Oswald in the audience at the club?
Q: At the Carousel?
Q: Which is owned by Jack Rubenstein?
Q: That would have been about how many days ago?
Bill: eight, nine
I wonder why Oswald was at Jack Ruby’s club a week before?
And I wonder which Oswald?
Q: Do you remember the specific uh instance what happened with Oswald in the club? Was he simply in the audience?
Bill: No I was doing a memory routine and uh I use about 20 people in the audience and have ‘em call out an object and then at random I call the objects back to them uh whoever wants their object called first or whatever the case may be. It seems to me he was one of the people uh after seeing the picture in the paper I remember seeing him in the audience as one of the people that gave me an object.
Q: Did Jack Rubenstein speak with Oswald to your knowledge?
Bill: No, I didn’t, I didn’t see him. I don’t think Jack even knew he was in there.
Q: You don’t think Rubenstein knew that Oswald was in the club. (Bill nods sideways) It’s such a strange coincidence that uh he would be in the club. Do you think it possible that Rubenstein knew him?
Bill: I don’t think so. Well, uh I don’t know for sure.
Q: uh huh. Could you possibly be mistaken about Oswald?
Bill: Being in the club?
Bill: Well, I don’t know. I’ve remembered the face, and I do remember faces.
Q: In your own mind you’re certain it was Oswald.
Q: Had you made an effort to see uh Jack Rubenstein since the shooting this morning?
Bill: No I had thought about going down there now because like I say he’s more of a friend than an employer and I did want to see him.
Q: Before all this happened would you have thought that Rubenstein was the type of man capable of such violence?
Bill: No, no Jack uh acted a little harshly sometimes but uh nothing like this. I wouldn’t have thought he’d do anything like this
Q: What do you mean he acted harshly sometimes in (garbled) with his employees?
Bill: No no uh uh garbled employees and sometimes customers. If they got a little out of hand why he was ready to put them out.
Q: Do you know whether he carried a gun on his person as a matter of general course?
Bill: Uh yes. Uh he carried it in a bag when he went back and forth to work.
Q: What kind of. Have you seen this pistol?
Bill: Uh yes I saw it once uh a little over a year ago. Last time I was here.
Q: What kind of pistol was it garbled?
Bill: A little, sharp nose, it was very small uh little pistol. He only carried it when he went back and forth to work. I never saw him on carry it on him you know or anything like that.
Just in the bag as protection, because he was carrying the money.
Q: Uh huh.
Dan Rather: We’ve been speaking with Bill DeMar a professional entertainer who has been a master of ceremonies at the Carousel Club in downtown Dallas a club owned by Jack Rubenstein.
Q: Uh Bill, there have been some reports that Rubenstein did own either now or sometime in the recent past another club in town. Do you know anything about that?
Bill: The Vegas.
Q: The Old Vegas Club.
Q:Is it still in operation?
Bill: It was until he closed it because of the President’s death
Q: But uh so far as you know he did own that club in addition to The Carousel?
Bill: Yes. To my knowledge yea he did
Q: Do you do you ever recall seeing any unsavory characters or people that you might associate with the underworld around the club
Bill: No, no.
Dan Rather: Let’s see now if we can get the picture, the police picture, of Jack Rubenstein.
That’s a profile and a head-on shot of the man accused of assassinating
the man who was accused of assassinating
Bill looks a bit perplexed. He is a comedian!
This is Dan Rather in Dallas Texas. Back now to Walter Cronkite in New York.
There were many witnesses to the shooting of Oswald allegedly by Jack Rubenstin Rubenstein. Uh, one of them was a a Detective Combest who knew Rubenstein very well and he said he saw him charging into the garage just as Oswald was being taken from elevator to the armored car. He said he knew what he was going to do, tried desperately to stop him, shouted an epithet at him to stop but was too late in reaching Ruby’s side and uh the shot was fired. (licks)
How would Detective Combest know what Rubenstein was going to do?
It looked to me like Ruby was standing still behind someone (a cameraman, photographer… I believe)
before Oswald came in
and I did not hear anyone shouting an epithet to stop
in the video.
Repeating what you have been told in the last uh few minutes. Lee Harvey Oswald the man Dallas Police accused of killing President Kennedy has himself been killed shot in the basement of the Dallas Jail. We will now return to Washington.
Adding this section because I came across these links
because of the name Detective Combest mentioned by Dan Rather.
Whether or not these sites and the information given is true or not true, I don’t know,
but I thought I should include them and the snippet of information I think that might matter:
Talking about the transfer of Oswald and the location at the City Jail
“Mr. HUBERT. Well, now, what precautions were taken to assure that people who did not belong there would not be there?
Mr. COMBEST. Well, everyone that went out into the basement from the jail office had to have the press card, proper identification showing that they were members of the press and police officers. Other than that no one was admitted to the basement parking area. “
“Mr. HUBERT. Did you hear Oswald say anything?
Mr. COMBEST. No, sir. He–I didn’t hear him say a word hardly, after he had been shot. He was moaning at the time Jimmy Leavelle, Graves, and I laid him down on the floor and removed the handcuffs that he had on him.
Mr. HUBERT. That was in the jail office? “
“Mary LaFontaine, co-author of Oswald Talked (1996; Pelican Books, Gretna, Louisiana), which argues convincingly that Oswald and Ruby collaborated in a pre-assassination gun-running scheme, recalls her own reaction to that Sunday shooting:
“When those of us who are old enough saw Ruby shoot Oswald, we knew there was something wrong. There was some kind of conspiracy, and this man was being silenced.””
I have no idea if any of this is important, because I think IMO at this time that the scene at the Dallas Jail is an act. I don’t think Oswald was killed. I think the Oswald business is merely a diversion. In my earlier part of this series called CBS News and JFK
I think I have caught Oswald in his act.
And I believe the Oswald Oil Business was his reward for that act.
I’m not going to investigate that business
because I’m pretty sure by now they wouldn’t tell me. LOL
========================There is a new movie coming out soon by Tom Hanks called Parkland.I hope he investigatesthe time of death of JFKsince that seems to be a BIG POINT of CONTROVERSY!Or how about the Possibility that JacQUELine, or her double, assassinated JFK.Or how about the Press and the Clergy involvement in his death.Don’t forget about Greg Burke/Opus Dei/Fox News employee/er and a Vatican employee/er of recent news and the Jessica Ghawi/Libyan Ambassador Chris Stevens link.
